Absolutely no idea.
The time structure is similar to that of a mafia, with separate phases. However, unlike Mafia's 2 phases, MitSH has 4. Day, Teatime, Early Evening and Late Night. These phases are explained a little more in depth down below.
As for the people playing (that's you guys, hopefully), each will be assigned one of 21 characters. Your character name will be visible on the thread, however you will receive a role PM with more details, and your all important ability.
So, what are the rules?
When posting in the thread, Forum Rules apply. Also, please don't info dump or post your role PM. This would ruin the game and also bring up plot holes.
When communicating via PM, all messages must have myself included within them. This means I can keep track of the game and also organize everyone at any given phase.
Phase Specific Rules
During the day phase, players are free to chat with each other in the thread. This can be related to the game or otherwise. Due to the nature of the investigation, nobody can leave the house. This means that, while around other players, private chats are not possible and, as such, no PMs should be sent during this phase (unless you’re sending an action to me). This phase will last roughly 5 hours.
I mean, we’ve all gotta eat, right? Even murderers. So, in the midst of the investigation, the cooks are still busy preparing meals. This even brings the entire household together, so more general chat is allowed. Due to the public nature of dinner, and the fact that sneaking off is rude, no PMs are allowed during this phase either, unless sending an action to me. The detectives will now use this phase to question any suspects. All questions will be asked and answered publically. This phase will last roughly 12 hours.
As the sun sets, the household prepares to sleep. Players go to their room. Or they don’t. During this phase, players are free to visit each other. To do so, PM me with who you’d like to visit, and away you’ll go. This can be good for having private chats, or warning other players, or just general tactics. Just beware, there may be other players listening in to you conversations.
If during this phase, two or more players choose to visit a player, you will all go. However, if the targeted player chooses to do so, they can send any player away at any time.
Also, if you’ve chosen to visit a player who is on their own visit, you will be notified that their door is locked. Bit embarrassing...
For rules regarding private chats, look at the General rules section. Easy, right? This phase will last roughly 12 hours.
Shhh! Everyone’s sleeping! Well, almost. During the early morning, most characters will be asleep, so no general chat. Private chats are limited now too, both players much agree to meet beforehand. Be very careful during this phase, as most actions take place now.
Also, depending on how well you sleep, you might hear actions taking place around you. For more info on sleep patterns, check out the additional rules section. This phase will last roughly 5 hours.
Sleep Patterns - Sleep Patterns - Nobody sleeps perfectly, it just doesn’t happen. Therefore, during the late night, you may awaken. It’s just a chance, it’s all down to nature (and dice rolls). Depending on how well you sleep, you may hear action from outside of your room. The sleep patterns are as follows:
Perfectly – You’ve slept very well, and heard nothing throughout the night.
Well – You’ve had a good night’s sleep, but might have heard a few snippets.
Badly – You’ve had an on edge night, and might have heard action outside.
Awfully – You’ve had a turbulent night, and there’s a good chance you heard action outside.
Remember, in order to hear action outside your room, there must be action taking place outside your room. Just because you slept badly doesn’t mean you’ll definitely have heard anything.
All conversations taking place in a specific phase must end at the end of that phase. For example, a conversation taking place during Tea Time must be ended by the start of the Early Evening.
The timings of each phase are flexible, but will go something like this;
Day Time – 5 hours
Tea Time – 12 hours
Early Evening – 12 Hours
Late Evening – 3 Hours
This makes one day phase one and a bit days long. Of course, this might change at any point, so make sure you check how long the phase lasts for.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. Believe me, it's as complicated as it sounds. Hopefully it'll become clearer as we go along.
