Nun knows the score. Between waiting for the last few players to post and travelling home from uni and so on, it's been quite a while since I last updated, so I'm not sure waiting for everyone to post is a valid strategy anymore. Either way, this has been some time coming.

Today's song of the day is Happy Xmas (War Is Over) by John Lennon.

SCIENTISTS BAFFLED

What exactly made August so long? Top men are working to discover the root of the problem.

CHARLI CAN SWEAR

In her latest show, CHarli pushes her censors to the ragged edge. What a handful.

CAPTAIN DAVE

The most notable thing about The Adventures Of Captain Dave is that it has a novelty title.

Next month, that'd be September, there will be an event action. If you want to record a theme tune for a television series, just post THEME TUNE in Week 4.

Week 1 - finish recording song Hunter vs Hunted

Electro Rock – Massive guitar solo to start. Maude vocalising also provides guitar assistance. Theo adds deepened bass orientated sound effects. Rob harmonises on the chorus with Maude. Shane finishes with an over-the-top drum section as Maude sings repeating to fade ‘the battle is on ..’

Verse 1.
Make your mind up time, its not looking good
One wrong move and you’re covered in blood
Lets play this right, get in fast and hard
The battle is on .. . don’t drop your guard

Chorus.
Are you the hunter ? are you the hunted ?
You could end up on either side
Choose the hunter, not the hunted
At least you can say you tried

Week 2 - Record cover - The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy

Week 3 & 4 Following the album release and several fans crazy rants and blogs regarding their appearance in Paris, Liz decide that now would be the best time to release:

See,View, Play, Repeat b/w The Mother We Share

Week 1: Publicity
- Episode 7 of ImPA.CT TV is released. The video opens with Jett getting excited over it apparently being April Fools' Day despite it being September. Viewers are led around the ImPA.CT dorm by Jett as he sets out to prank all of the other members whilst avoiding Blake who, after being woken up by multiple alarms hidden in his room at 2-minute intervals, threatens who tear apart Jett's favourite poster.

Week 2: Publicity
- ImPA.CT hold a livestream event with fans where fans can interact with the members and ask them questions live. They ask fans what they like about their music so far, and what they'd like to see the group do in the future, including what their next cover should be. Flint reveals he's been working on a new song that will highlight the band's instrument skills rather than choreography, and that the group hope to release a new single soon.

Week 3: Photoshoot
- Seasons change and so the group have an autumn-themed photoshoot; simple, warm, and casual, it's quite a stark contrast to their promotional photos. A didn't object when the photographer said he wanted a picture of him and Jett with the younger on his back, though it wasn't until photos of it were being taken when he realised how much Jett had grown in the past nine months.

Week 4: Theme Tune

Cannot believe I put so much work into three imaginary artists only to never release a second album for any of them.

Theme Songs On The Idiot's Lantern
Attended by- ImPA.CT, The Great Metal Pilgrimage, Space Girl, Dis Mah Jam, Lady Lara And Her Husbands, The Survivors

Two theme songs needed writing for the BBC's new drama show 12 And Up The Duff and their documentary Snoop Doggy Dogg Commentates While Snow Leopards gooseberry fool so the bands signed up to contribute were split up as they often so conveniently are into what the author refers to as "the eton mess group" and "the OK ones" to write some tracks. Dis Mah Jam and Lady Lara were relegated to who cares what they did, while ImPA.CT and the other bands penend a frankly fantastic number for whichever show the other two didn't work on it was really fantastic I wish you could hear it but that's not how text works there were slap bass in there divine.
Space Girl Star In Aerobics Video

It was like the video for you know that song Call On Me it was like that one but more space-age aesthetic and oddly new agey.
ImPA.CT Questioned Intensely Live On T'Internet

"Why yes we do blatantly rip off K-Pop cliches and pretend it's original it's our whole thing" admits the band, who affected a stutter for the entire interview.

Week 1: Record cover — "Everytime Boots" [Julia Holter]
- ImPA.CT bring out the instruments for their cover of Julia Holter's "Everytime Boots", capitalising on the upbeat feel of the original and adding their own energy to the track, with the harmonies of all members creating a full and busy vocal layer

Week 2: Record song — "Laser"
"[A] Shoot me down, chase me down / Push me under, watch me drown.
Crying out, reaching out / In my head I hear you shout.
[Kelvin] I can’t feel, I can’t see / Oh you’ve got a hold on me.
[Flint] It still burns, it still hurts / You cut through me with your words."

Week 3: Record song — "Laser"
- "Laser" is an assertive track driven by a pulsing rhythm and breakneck pace, aiming to grab hold of the listener and refuse to let go in the space of its four minute length. A takes the lead for most of the song this time, and reverb is used on the vocals less than in previous tracks like "Transparency" and "Dissolve Me" in favour of a sharp, arresting delivery that pierces through the heavy instrumental. The hyperbolic lyrics deal with the aftermath of a sudden breakup as one side is left stunned after realising that what they had with their partner wasn't as perfect as they had previously thought, and this revelation is particularly hard to swallow.

Week 4: Publicity
- Episode 8 of ImPA.CT TV is released, following the members as they prepare a surprise birthday party for Blake. He catches on almost immediately and his false surprise on the day is all too obvious to viewers but the members are too giddy to notice.

(At least I did better at this than Superthingymabob)
