Summoners. Feared throughout the multiverse for their power, they are the ones touched by the power of the Anomalies, allowing them to tear open the void and call forth assistance from anywhere. Their power, when unchecked, will bring about the apocalypse. A man, a summoner himself, called The Director, created The Bureau as a way of keeping tabs on all known summoners, but faced with the facts presented to him by The Light Magician, he decided to eradicate all summoners. He was stopped by a group of his recruits, who evaded his assassination attempts and defeated him. However, when the Light Magician told them to abandon their powers, they refused. Now, they are hunted once again, whilst they race against time to find a way to stop the reopening of the void...

Hello, and welcome to The Dimensional Renegades, sequel to The Dimensional Summoners. Despite this, you don't need to have played any of the other games to play this one, but familiarising yourself with how they play is worth a try.

Dungeons
Summoners

In this game, you will play as a Summoner, someone with the ability to summon many characters from many series. To sign up, use this handy little form:

Once you've done that, you've done everything you need to. I handle all of the moves, so nothing else needs to be done. A few things for character selection

1- If a character from a franchise has already been picked, in this thread or in Hunters, I'll request that you pick another one. Simply put, it's a bit boring if we have a party of Pokemon or Avengers.
2- Please don't pick any super obscure characters. If I can't make a sufficiently varied movelist for the character, I'll request you pick another. (The summon you select has a much laxer set of rules on this).
3- The following characters are unable to be selected (You can select a character from their series though)

Now you've picked your character, lets get started on what will happen ingame:

There are 2 kinds of phase; Battle and Exploration

Battle Phase

The goal of the battle phase is to defeat all of the enemies, or complete another objective outlined in the update. In order to battle, post your action to the thread before the deadline. There are two ways to attack, by yourself or with a summon.

Your player character has 2 types of attack; Basic and Super. Basic attacks do not have a cooldown on them, but you also do not gain any bonus experience for using them. On the other hand, Super attacks will gain you more EXP for using them, but they require a cooldown. This means a move cannot be used until the cooldown, found next to the attacks name, reaches 0. You will recieve a notification in the update when a move is ready to use again.
In addition to these 2 types of move, you will also unlock Bonus spells. These act like Basic moves.
You can also use items in battle. Just say what you want to use and on who. Using an item will also net you bonus EXP. You also have the opportunity to change your summon before you use an item.

You can also summon assistance into battle. Summons have many properties different to regular characters. In order for a summon to be used, it must be equipped. This can be done on the same turn as an attack, but you cannot change what summon you have equipped after you attack with it. Every turn you have your summon equipped, it will lose 1 unit of Summon Charge. If the summon is unequipped, it will regenerate 1 unit of Summon Charge a turn. The summon will lose charge even if it isn't being used to attack. A summon also has a Defence stat as well. If it is equipped, this will effect how much damage you take from an attack. To attack with a summon, just say what one you wish to use and what attack it will use. Summons don't need to worry about cooldowns on their moves. If the summon charge of a summon hits 0, it will enter a phase known as Summon Break. This has the effect of you not being able to switch into it until its Summon Charge is filled back up to maximum. If this happens, you will automatically have another summon equipped.

New to this game, you have access to a new mode, Anomaly Rush. Doing this unlocks your inner power, enabling you to use Supers without worrying about a cooldown, and instantly cooling down any outstanding supers. In addition to this, any summons equipped or used will not lose any charge whilst in Anomaly Rush. The trade off for all of this is that your life will begin to drain, so use it carefully. To activate this, post that you wish to activate Anomaly Rush, or something to that effect. You cannot attack on the turn of attack, but you will still be under the effects of the Rush. Leaving Anomaly Rush can be done on the same turn as an attack, however.


Bonus Spells- Unlike normal spells, these moves do not have a cooldown associated with them. However, they cost Blue Health, which regenerates over time.
Super Anomaly Rush- In addition to not giving a cooldown for super moves used, and not draining any summon charge from summons, a Super Anomaly Rush fixes any broken summons you may have, boosts your attack strength and regenerates all blue health you may have, in addition to making bonus spells free to cast. You also gain more EXP whilst in this form.
Void Trigger- In addition to the effects of Super Anomaly Rush, you also gain a boosted Defence and Evasion whilst in this form. Additionally, you can attack twice with any summons in a turn whilst with Void Trigger active. As a trade off, this mode drains slightly more health than before.
Oversummon- Unleash all of your summons to obliterate the foe in a lethal combo. This drains 2 summon charge from all of your summons and the damage dealt depends on the amount of summons present and their level.

At the end of a battle, you'll receive EXP, any items the enemy may have dropped and a selection of summons. Summons are distributed on a first come, first served basis. In order to accept a summon, you must have an empty slot and to be of an equal level or higher than yourself. In example, say there are two players. Player A was Lv. 10, but Player B was 18. The 2 summons available are R.E.O Speedwagon (Lv. 10) and King Kittan (Lv. 18). Player B would be able to take either King Kittan or Speedwagon, but Player A could only take Speedwagon. If you have no spare slots, you can swap one of your summons for a new one. The one that you have swapped out can now be taken by another player, provided they too fulfil the requirements for it.

You can also fuse together two summons, either both from your inventory or one from your inventory and another available after a battle. Depending on their level, a more powerful summon will be produced! This can be done at any time.

Fusion Inheritance- With this unlocked, you will be able to choose a move or ability to be passed on from a 'parent' summon to the offspring!

Exploration Phase

Taking over from the Puzzle Phases of before, these phases will encompass many things that will happen outside of battle. Here, you can investigate the room you're in, solving puzzles that have been left for you or finding items. Usually, you'll be told what you can do during the update, but here are some rules that'll usually apply:

- You can use items or trade them during these phases
- You can trade summons, granted you fulfil the criteria for that summon
- You can heal with any summon of the Medic class



By winning battles and solving puzzles, you gain EXP. Gain enough experience and you will reach a new level. With this, you can use new summons and occasionally learn new moves. Gain enough levels, and you will increase your rank. With an increased rank, you will gain upgrades and a new title. Summons can also gain EXP and level up, learning new skills. Summons have a maximum level, at which they cannot learn any new skills or grow any more.


To combat inactivity affecting the game, if a player is inactive, a few hours before the deadline, any other character may 'jump-in' for them. Doing so will gain the other player bonus experience. You cannot jump in for a character that has already been jumped in for. Being inactive will make the enemies more likely to attack you, so be careful. If you will be inactive for a period, let me know so we can sort something out

Hakodate- Head of the Tennis club at Honnouji Academy, this Two Star wielder was Ryuko's next opponent. Her speciality is barraging her opponents with tennis balls launched at high speeds! HP 45, Attack 7. Resist Dark, Weak to Water
Sanageyama- Head of all athletic commitees, this member of the Honnouji Elite Four is a master Kendo practitioner. In addition to this, his 3 Star Uniform, Blade Regalia, give him heightened speed and strength. And when he activates his mind's eye, no-one can get close enough to hit him! HP 65, Attack 7. Weak to Wind, Resist Ice. Immune to Stun
Nonon Jakuzure- One of Honnouji's Elite Four and leader of all non-athletic groups. While she appears cute, her tongue is sharper than any Bakuzan or Scissor Blade. In battle, her humongous Symphony Regalia allows her to overwhelm the enemy with a barrage of musical attacks. Be careful when you defeat her, any good musician is back for an encore... HP 70, Attack 7. Weak to Wind, Resists Fire and Physical. Immune to Stun
Ira Gamagori- One of Honnouji's Elite Four and leader of the disciplinary commitee. This humongous mountain of a man may be intimidating, but obey the rules and he'll have no issue with you. Luckily, he doesn't seem too focussed on attacking... yet. He'll take everything you throw at him and more, and still be ready to pound you into the ground. HP 60, Attack 6. No Weaknesses, Resists Physical and Dark. Immune to Stun
Jakuzure (2)- After Grave/Presto are defeated, the Mark 1 Symphony Regalia has another trick up its sleeve, the encore performance 'De Capo'! Nonon will return in a smaller, sleeker design. This style is based on a bombastic finish, attempting to obliterate its foes. Be careful of it's ability to paralyze the entire party! HP 50, Attack 9. Weak to Wind and Dark. Resists Fire and Ice
Satsuki Kiryuin [Pure Summoner]- Head of the tyrannical student council of Honnouji Academy, this natural born leader has the strength to back herself up. While formidable on her own, when she harnesses the power of Kamui Junketsu, she becomes a force of nature! In addition to heightened endurance, strength and speed, her weapon of choice, the Bakuzan, can cut clean through life fibres, so don't think you stand a chance against it! HP 130, Attack 9. No Weaknesses, Resists Wind and Light. Immune to stun
Chaos Beelzebub- A monstrous fly demon, allied with the forces of Chaos and Lucifer. Sometimes in a humanoid form known as Baal Zebul, his trademark technique, Death Flies, is as gross as it is devastating. Thankfully, this is a copy made from Anomalies, and not the real deal. HP 160, Attack 10. Weak to Light, Resist Dark. Absorb Electricity
Omega Anomaly- An Anomaly of this scale would bring upon the apocalypse were it to be found anywhere but the Void. Due to it's immense scale, you'll be inside it to fight! Much like every other Anomaly, Electric will heal it. Other than that, he finds it easy to hit groups of enemies at the same time with its shocking attacks! HP 200, Attack 10. No Weaknesses, Resists Dark. Absorbs Electric
Biker- A ruffian who likes causing nuisance and hanging out at bars full of other ne'erdowells. Luckily, he's nothing compared to all the other supernatural things you've been fighting here, with his most threatening thing being that tiny little knife of his. HP 30, Attack 4. Weak to Fire, No Resist
Hunter- A soldier hired by the Light Magician to combat the Summoners and capture them in order to allow them to have their powers forcibly removed. The only known person to receive this treatment died, so we aren't going to take any risks here. In a fight, they have many tricks up their sleeves, so don't take them for granted! HP 40, Attack 7. Weak to Fire, Resist Wind
Soldier of Fortune- A higher ranked Hunter, with more techniques and strength in his repertoire. Expect the unexpected. HP 50, Attack 9. Weak to Fire, Resist Wind.
Scout [DIMENSIONAL HERO]- A speedy youth that found his way onto the eternal war between RED and BLU. On the battlefield, he strikes hard and fast, running interference on the enemies. HP 47, Attack 12. Weak to Electric, Resist Dark
Lennon [DIMENSIONAL HERO]- Frontman of the Beatles, he fought off the music hating Blue Meanies. In battle, his songs bring rise to several magical effects, aiding the party. HP 41, Attack 11. Weak to Ice, Resist Light.
Sherlock [DIMENSIONAL HERO]- Ace detective and martial artist, he brings his Bartitsu style and keen eye to the battle, crippling foes effectively. HP 46, Attack 13. Weak to Fire, Resist Water
Mickey [DIMENSIONAL HERO]- One of the few who can wield a Keyblade, Mickey Mouse runs around behind the scenes, helping foil Organisation XIII. HP 38, Attack 10. Weak to Wind, Resist Dark.
Teddie [DIMENSIONAL HERO]- A mysterious bear from the TV world, his Persona Kintoki-Douji specialises in Ice, healing and support, as well as firing off its Tomahawk missile. HP 35, Attack 9. Weak to Fire, Resist Ice
Ness [DIMENSIONAL HERO]- A psychic youth from Onett, who sets out to stop the alien Giygas. Normally, his PSI focuses on healing and status effects, but his friends can use elemental spells. HP 31, Attack 9. Weak to Dark, Resist Fire
Wallace DIMENSIONAL HERO]- An inventor with a taste for cheese, he can utilise his inventions in creative ways to beat up his opponents. HP 48, Attack 12. Weak to Light, Resist Electric
Yoshi DIMENSIONAL HERO]- Mario's dragon buddy, who has a hunger for Shy Guys. Be careful of his array of eggs. HP 60, Attack 11. Weak to Water, Resist Light.
Weebl [DIMENSIONAL HERO]- An animator, who has somehow come here as one of his creations, also called Weebl. All of his animations are here to fight! HP 45, Attack 12. Weak to Dark, Resist Water
Genie [DIMENSIONAL HERO]- Trapped in an itty bitty bottle, he comes out with his limitless power bringing many techniques to the battle. HP 52, Attack 12. Weak to Light, Resist Fire
Cartman [South Parks' Fat bedfordshire clanger]- A chubby and borderline evil kid from South Park. Despite his size, he's pretty handy in a fight, with various techniques to trip up the enemy. HP 34, Attack 11. Weak to Dark, Resist Wind.
Suu [Aquatic Tentacle Waifu]- A watery slime, who is probably the cutest tentacle monster you'll find. Her strange constitution lets her change shape to fight well, and her slimy nature makes her immune to poison and paralysis. Her presence makes it hard to inflict status too. HP 49, Attack 13. Weak to Electric, Resist Ice.
Mondo [Ultimate Biker Gang Leader]- His pompadour isn't just a callback to another Silly Sapphire wielding biker, he's a fully fledged biker too, with his gang backing him up. And beating him up is sure to get him mad, so be careful! HP 48, Attack 12. Weak to Water, Resist Light.
Abaddon [Lord of Avernus]- His control over this mist is unparalleled, letting him use it in many ways to support his team. He has a few techniques he can use too to adapt to any situation. HP 46, Attack 13. Weak to Fire, Resist Electric
Magatsu Izanagi [New World Fool]- Izanagi, who gave into the lust for power and became corrupted by this hunger. Said to represent a certain serial killer, the more he kills, the stronger he gets. HP 49, Attack 12. Weak to Wind, Resist Dark.
Dio [Evil From The Past]- Once just a man with a deadly ambition, he uses the stone mask to become a Vampire. Defeated by his brother, he comes back a hundred years later and gains the power of a Stand. His one being The World, able to stop time for short periods at a time. HP 51, Attack 15
Jeremiah [Knightmare Frame Ace]- A master pilot of Knightmare Frames, and also a user of a Geass, he fights in 3 of his mechas, each with wildly different abilities. He specialises in overwhelming his opponents. HP 53, Attack 14
Master Hand [The Final Destination]- An enigmatic hand that awaits all smashers at Final Destination, where he tries to turn them back into the trophies they once were. With a wide array of attacks and some hidden tricks, he is pure final boss material. HP 53, Attack 15.

Item List

Dried Mushroom- An odd snack. Restores a small amount of health when eaten
Mighty Shell- A Koopa's shell. Use to boost your defence
Snake Oil- A bottle of a substance that's said to 'cure any ailment'. Unfortunately, that's a lie, but maybe it'll help your focus...
Hamon Clackers- A pair of metal bolas infused with Hamon power. Deals Light damage to an enemy
Defibrillator- An emergency device to revive a fallen comrade with 1HP
Napalm Launcher- A grenade launcher that fires an extremely flammable substance. Deals widespread fire damage
Scissor Blade- A mysterious sword that has the power to cut Life Fibres. In battle, using this not only slashes the enemy, but lowers their defence as well
Buff Banner- A proud trumpet to be blown to boost the party's attack strength
Bubble Barrier- A set of mysterious bubbles to boost the party's defence
Max Revive- Revives and fully heals an unconscious ally
Ball Lightning- An odd ball of electricity that floats around its user. Should anyone attack the user while this is out, it will deal electric damage to the attacker
Soma- A sacred phial of water that fully heals the party, restoring all summons and cooldowns
Intimidating Aura Projector- Creates a scary field around the party, lowering the Attack and Defence of all enemies
Sacred Ash- Ashes from a legendary pokemon, that revives, fully heals and restores all cooldowns and summons of the party
Last Stand Pearl- If this is in your inventory, should you be KO'd, you'll hold on with 1HP and have boosted Attack and Evasiveness

The Story So Far:

Archive of OONM thread

A group of summoners, pursued by mercenaries known as The Dimensional Hunters, were aided by a voice. This turned out to belong to Otacon, the head of operations of the largest group of organised summoners. These included a group of summoners that foiled a great threat recently (See: The Dimensional Summoners). Once free from their pursuers, it was discovered that the new recruits had a hidden power boiling within themselves. They also learned about what drives the Hunters, and that the goal of the Summoners is to find a way to retain their powers, whilst not putting the multiverse at risk. Putting their great potential to use, they explored a lab in the frozen wastes to find a scientist who might know a way to do this...

After a narrow escape, the team, dubbed the Renegades, were put on a duty to stop some rebel summoners from conquering Japan. Once they arrived at their base, they met with a group of Hunters and had a fated battle. After an arduous and bloody battle, the Renegades managed to stand victorious. With their foes retreating, they look on to the oncoming battles...

Standing at the gates to the fort, some students in white uniforms with a black star on them approached you.

'No-one is to enter our fort without prior permission! Turn away, or else we shall have to execute you for the glory of Lady Satsuki!' yelled one

This is a quick fire conversation round. Using your silver tongues, try and get through the gate peacefully. Large rewards for those that do. However, you may have to do an alternate method if this fails.

The fusion result is based on the levels of the inserted summons, hence why your new summon is weaker than Lucina was
