Turn 6

Jolteon uses Quick Attack on Corphish, dealing 6 damage!
Elekid uses Thunder Punch on Sylveon, dealing 40 damage! Sylveon is defeated!
Gothorita uses Psybeam on Jolteon, dealing 39 damage!
Corphish uses Waterfall on Jolteon, dealing 61 damage! Jolteon is defeated!

Victory!

As the last of Flareon's minions crumples to the floor, the metal grate blocking the group's way slides back upwards. "Well fought," calls down the shadowy figure. "Exit the maze and you will have your reward."
The party moves on, the corridors of the maze getting brighter and brighter until eventually they climb a flight of stairs and emerge into a small clearing in the middle of dense woodland. Ahead of them is a box which Ferroseed quickly discovers is full of Oran Berries. The group share them out and eat them, glad of the chance to heal up.
"You've exceeded my expectations," comes a voice from somewhere in the woods. The group looks around, startled, but can't see where the speaker is hiding amongst the thick vegetation.
"Apologies for concealing myself," the voice comes again, "but whilst you have proven your worth to me, I cannot yet trust you with my identity."
"What, you put us through all that and we don't even get to see your face?" Corphish yells. "What makes you think we want any more to do with you, anyway?"
"Well, there is the large bag of Poké waiting for you in a clearing to the east of here. And should you do as I instruct, more will follow."
Corphish opens his mouth to yell again, but Gothorita silences him with a wave of her hand. "We'll hear you out, then make our decision," she says.
Their watcher laughs from his hiding spot, then begins to speak again. "Very well. Recently, it has come to my attention that the locations of some very important artefacts may have been discovered. I have made it my business to ensure that nobody gets their hands on these artefacts. Unfortunately, I have reason to believe that a certain organisation is actively seeking them out. I would prefer to leave the artefacts be, but now I must make sure I am the one to acquire them."
"So you want us to go treasure hunting for you?" Elekid asks. "Why not just go yourself?"
"I'm afraid it's much too complicated to explain in full, but suffice it to say that should I go off exploring dungeons it would raise too many questions. That's why I need you to go in my stead."
"So that's it?" Gothorita asks. "We get you these artefacts, and you get us a load of cash? Sounds good to me, boys."
Ferroseed and Elekid nod their approval, but Corphish looks unimpressed.
"Yo, mister mysterious," he calls out. "How much Poké we talking exactly?"
"Five thousand in your first payment, then ten thousand on delivery of each artefact."
"Double it and you've got yourself a deal."
The watcher laughs. "Very well. I will sort out the funds as soon as you complete your first expedition."
"And where is it you're sending us, exactly?" Ferroseed asks.
"A cave due south of this forest," the watcher replies. "There is a map along with your first payment which should lead you straight to it. If that is everything, then I will leave you to it." He pauses for a second. "I have a feeling this will be the beginning of a very profitable partnership for us all."
"Pleasure doing business with you," Gothorita says. The watcher doesn't reply, and the group soon realises they are alone again.
"Well, let's go find this cash and figure out where that first artefact is," Elekid says. The other three nod, and the Skull Gang sets off in search of their mysterious client's treasure, unaware of the chain of events that was about to unfold around them...

So yeah, beta's over and the full game will start sometime after my exams finish next Friday. Screwups with damage calculations aside this seems to have gone okay but if you guys have any feedback on what did/didn't work or what could be added or improved then it's very welcome.

I've just realised that this is why Pirates went so badly both times, I wasn't a drunkard back then.

Need more access to explosions. But yeah, otherwise fine. Can't really think of anything to change.
