Apparently you do the questionnaire for your partner. So it's like blind date for your soulmate.

I think Serebii said that they're for your partner. Kinda seems odd to determine your partner by a quiz and not yourself.

Also, what's with this whole thing about Rayquaza fighting Deoxys as the defender of the Earth. First in the 7th (I think?) movie, then ORAS and now this.
<Kaeetayel> Go for a team entirely composed of Eeveelutions
<Princess> that's effort
<Princess> I need to buy the stones/go to rocks/make them happy/touch Eevee
<Kaeetayel> The last one doesn't sound too bad

Serebii says that the questionnaire decides both you and your partner:
Serebii wrote:It confirms that you decide your Pokémon & partner through questions, as per the original Pokémon Mystery Dungeon titles.
Having said that, if both are decided through the quiz I'm not sure what that selection wheel thing they keep showing is.

Serebii be trollin' it didn't say that before.

Maybe it's a roulette thing that spins whilst deciding which Pokémon the quiz said you are and then they look shocked like Pikachu in that one picture.

Also the in the original PMD Rayquaza protects the planet by destroying the meteor which is implied to be carrying Deoxys.

A questionnaire for both Pokemon and partner would be my preference. Perhaps they might give you the option to select who you want to be or do the questions.

I need this game to be more in line with the first two entries to the series, I've been trying to replay PMG Gates to Infinity and it's just painful. The Gurdurr story is decent and the introduction of Emolga is done well but as soon as Virizion joins you two hours into the game it starts to decline imo.

I've never been big on the quizzes, especially since a poor choice in Pokemon can leave you ill equipped to take on the game (Primal Dialga probably being the biggest offender in this), from what the translations are making out it seems to be duel quizzes for you and your partner.

Also that Lapras travelling over the seas may indicate multiple hub towns or may just simply show overseas dungeons. Either way it looks like the world is getting bigger.

Also there seems to be a bigger presence of legendaries in this game, unlike in GtL Super seems like the legendaries are more central to the plot rather than just backdrops, although only time will tell with these things

I always thought Dialga was alright thanks to seeds and dig.
Palkia on the other hand I always had trouble with since I forget when it turns up so am normally ill prepared.

That Dialga battle, man I've never struggled so much with a boss in my life. It was so gratifying finally beating him though, and his fight music, pure excellence.

The mix of Dialga's typing as well as his huge damage can just crush teams, I mean reviver seeds, violent seeds and the like all mitigate his power but unlike most of the other bosses in the game its one you have to prepare for unlike he other bosses where you can manage with a suboptimal team and little in terms of items

I always found the Groudon fight to be pretty challenging as well (though perhaps that was because I was a Torchic in Darkness and a Shinx in Sky lmao), but I do agree that most of the battles weren't much of a stretch.

So Mega Evolution is in. Shouldn't really affect the choice in starters as by the time you evolve at all in these games you've done basically the important things, so unless they change how evolution works it's fine with me.

Be interesting to see if mega evolutions are permanent all the while holding a mega stone or if they have a timer or set no. of actions before regressing

So the latest plot details are that mythical and legendary Pokemon are being petrified (turned to stone). Also from the newest trailer it looks like Giratina might be the antagonist. Also Europe gets this early 2016 whilst America gets it in December.

Probably the game series I'm most nostalgiac about. Blue was grat and Darkness was fantastic. They better not gooseberry fool this up.

I struggled with the time you fight your guild as a test.

Also all the Zero Isle places, they took forever.

I think the games were just generally like super hard. Welcome break from the main games in my opinion. Never really understood why they removed the difficulty feature from the games after Black 2/White 2, it'd give the games a whole new life to be honest.

Yeah, the difficulty of PMD was perfect.

Only boss I ever bet in one was Darkrai I think.

Because ultimately they made very little difference to the game beyond grinding. It was entirely artificial difficulty with getting better AI being the only real way to make the games difficult. It was an ok feature but honestly it's no surprise it didn't hang around, it was just such an empty feature of giving gym leaders an extra pokémon.

I hope Treecko is still super OP

Agility/Bullet Seed for the win. Pair that up with a Blizzard, Discharge or other room hitting combo and mmm.

Vacuum Cut was so satisfying to use in a monster house. I used to always get a kick off of using multi target moves in filled rooms.

I had this Venomoth once that would do it with silver wind. So good since each hit has a chance to raise all your stats.

The sound for stat boosts was really satisfying as well. I tried to teach allmy pokemon Ancient Power because of it.

All room moves are great to use, but a nightmare on escort missions. Pretty much have to pack an excessive amount of revived seeds to get around the inevitable ledian spamming silver wind or equivalent.

Also, they really need to nerf multi hit moves, as far as I can tell they do the same damage as normal moves and regular one shot me if they hit three times.
