Looks good OR, and a smooth migration. Congrats!
Thanks - although that's because you didn't see the failed migration I gave up on at 3am Monday morning!

Middle click, ctrl + click, right click > open in new tab
If you're on mobile, hold down to get the option
You can also probably configure your browser to give the default behaviour you desire
I usually expect most websites to be a good reflection of their owners.

You've let me down.

By not forcing open in new tab behaviour for external links we fall on the side of user choice and autonomy and greater web accessibility. It respects user preference rather than overriding it.

Good reading

I'm making a few small style tweaks tonight so hopefully some of the things raised in this thread already can get picked off :)

As well as some minor improvements to both ONM Classic and Super ONM (like the online icon/dot being shrunk out of the way of avatars and some rounded page buttons being squared off and margined better) I have also now just removed a lot of the visual clutter from ONM Classic when viewing subforums/topic listings. This should in turn mean that topic icons are no longer sometimes displaying funny.

Super ONM is unchanged in this respect but it is only an issue at low widths/resolutions that are not low enough to use the mobile styling - so hopefully that won't affect you widescreen loving Super ONM users.

The subforum descriptions have also had some minor edits to ensure a better appearance at the max ONM Classic forum width. The most useful change may be that HDYFRN is now linked directly from the index in the Off Topic description.

The notifications system is pure built-in phpbb magic that I haven't touched, so while I'm certain it can be consolidated I don't know how at all. I reckon the current behaviour is good though - if you have been quoted multiple times in a thread while you are offline, it's useful to have a notification/link through to each of those separate quotations.

I hadn't considered the quoting scenario, good shout.

Also php is an abomination it's probably best left well alone.

Hello everyone welcome to Super GRcade.

In all honesty though I dislike have to enter a sub menu to view my posts and new posts, seems an unecessary tap which I can't deal with in my over efficient life.

As a slight annoyance, is it possible to get the 'jump to' list drop to the forum you're currently on?

Possibly - I was used to always hitting "go" and it taking me straight back to the subforum I was viewing, so I've been trying to get used to using the link on the left side of the screen instead.

Instead of moving to the forum you're currently on, I might try to strip out the Super ONM section from the Jump To list. That way it won't be filled up by archived subforums and instead will just show the General Gaming and Off Topic boards. Does that sound useful?

I keep getting this everytime I try to access the website on Firefox, though if I go and do it through private browsing it works fine. I've tried clearing the cookies for sonm, but that hasn't done anything. Is this your way of telling me I'm not wanted? 😢

Also emoji support is here woop woop

This is because you are trying to go to /main.php - which doesn't exist! This was a url that took you to the index page back when we had the front page at /home.php. After we discontinued the front page we maintained /main.php so as not to break anyone's bookmarks, but now we've upgraded we've dropped this support.

Change your bookmark and you should be all good :)

Frustratingly the word censoring appears to be all set up correctly from the admin interface. I'm going to have to delve into the code to find out what's breaking it for us :(

Looks nice guys but everything's so compact. I need that widescreen view to return sharpish, I haven't seen a webpage squashed like this since 1995. My eyes! My eyes!
