- It's New Year's Eve! New Year's 2015 banner has gone live across the forum.
- The Christmas 2014 subforum has been archived - you can no longer post in the subforum, but you can still view it over in Archives.

- You can now create up to 6 folders for private messages, up from 4. Each folder can hold 50 messages maximum.

- An affiliates and external links bar has been added to the page footer. This holds links to both external sites for cross-promotion, and to Super ONM's social media and related profiles. This is still a work in progress, so expect more to come!

- A brand new, custom built front page has gone live on the site! The new home page is now the default page that loads when accessing www.sonm.uk, and can be seen here! You can get your own threads from the forum featured on the home page by posting in the Front Page Features thread.

- Tweets are now able to be embedded directly into posts with the "tweet" BBCode, and additional BBCode shortcut buttons have been added to the posting page for youtube, censor and tweet tags.

- Big news as we have rebranded as SOSM - Super Online Sega Messageboards! To celebrate this change, General Nintendo Chat has been replaced with General Sega Chat, and the Pokemon has been replaced with a Digimon forum. Enjoy! April Fool's!

- It's Easter! We're celebrating the double bank holiday with an Easter-themed banner across the forum. Remember that you can check out all of our previous special banners in the Banner Archive. Enjoy the chocolate!

- Minor update to layout to improve navigation around the site. Most notably if you are used to checking the home page or returning to the forum index from the links at the top of the page, their location has switched, to better make sense when showing nested forum location.

- There is now support for profile badges, which replace custom text profile fields, to display any achievements that users have gained on their mini-profile when they post! Currently there are existing badges for banner creators (users who have created site banners in competitions that have been used on the site) and for contributors to our Christmas 2014 events - just mouseover the badges to see what they are for. Look out for more coming soon!
- The site favicon (that little icon that appears in the tab) has been updated to a new version of our logo!

- Super Smash Bros. Tournament badges have been added to coincide with the results of the Sm4sh Wii U/3DS Singles Summer Tournament. Watch out for more profile badges to go along with the upcoming Mario Kart 8 200cc Tournament!
