Introducing... Super ONM's Home Page!

As you've probably already noticed, a new home page for SONM has now gone live! Typing "www.sonm.uk" into your browser, rather than loading up the forum index page like it did before, will now take you to the home page at "www.sonm.uk/home.php", which has been designed from scratch to provide links to the latest news, projects and forum events going on around the site. Of course you can still reach the forum index page easily enough by going to the link "www.sonm.uk/main.php", or by following one of the multiple links on the new home page.

Super ONM's home page will be regularly updated with the latest content, and it's you, as the community, who get to decide what that is, and even contribute articles of your own. You'll find a new thread has been created over in Forum Feedback exactly for this reason! We hope that this linking directly through to forum threads from the front page will not only help to promote the featured threads, but also act as a great platform for members to get opinion pieces, writing and other projects out there to the world and given exposure.

The home page has been tested across multiple browsers and monitors, but if you do happen to run into any display issues with the new page, please do report them here! Otherwise, let us know what you think!

I must admit, I thought I'd clicked onto the wrong website for a few seconds when I first saw the homepage... I need more coffee.

The homepage looks pretty good though, love the thumbnails for the threads, have fun making them for all future threads that may appear on the homepage

That's a good point, it doesn't comply with the user theme. Would be nice to have widescreen display and a red banner if a user has selected them for the forum theme. Not complaining though, really good work so far.

Agreed, you aren’t taking full advantage of screen space provided and having everything centred makes it appear very cramped. Since you are going for a tile theme, why not mimic the windows layout? Ha-ha. I look forward to seeing what future projects get featured, especially if SONM Daily/Network becomes a thing.

Really nicely done, I like it a lot. I agree with what a few people have said with regards to it not being widescreen though I imagine that's down to not really having too much to work with in the way of content at the moment.

Looks pretty damn good, wish it would make more use of my 1080p screen however. Suppose you can't expect much from game console users though.
