Manias looking like a genuinely good homage game to the originals. Gonna wait for more info on 2017 but I more or less enjoyed the previous two games the same team worked on so i cant complain

I might play a Sonic game again w o w

Thoughts on these?

i dont really know what to think, on the one hand Mania looks like a good old sonic game, but on the other hand i feel like why should i care about a rehashed 25 year old game

then there Project Sonic 2017 which i just think looks lame at this stage but who knows i could be wrong, just what is up with that burning city whats the deal with trying to be dark or am i missing something here

i was never the biggest sonic fan anyway, i really liked sonic 1 and 2, and the sonic advance games when i was a kid, but i just hate the idea that the sonic fanbase will eat up the hype of anything with his name on it and then try and defend it when it's trash garbage rubbish

maybe i just hate the crazy weird fanbase sonic seems to have

Generations 2 looks alright, but Mania is the real gem here, sprites look pretty and I am hankering for some classic sonic action

please don't do a repeat of Sonic 4

I kind of wish I could be interested in them, Sonic 2 and 3 were some of the first games I played, and I spent years playing them but I just don't feel the nostalgia for the franchise I probably should. It's not even that I'm jaded with the franchise since the last Sonic game I put any time into was Rush. Maybe it's just always being pretty aware of the flaws of the games and having new games that take the genre and style in more interesting directions. I get why they're doing it but eh, I can't see it going well, I don't see it drawing back fans of old and I don't see it inspiring any desire to grab it in me.

lots of new stages and added polish mostly. right now I'm just glad its rehashing the good physics/aesthetics unlike what 4 did.

Nah it really was just a cheesy ass trailer and not much else; like generations I imagine the games writing will be pretty light in tone. I'm just waiting out for game footage more than anything

Sonic Mania looks amazing to this old man's eyes. There's not enough in that trailer about Project Sonic to make a judgement, but something along the lines of Generations would be quite welcome. 8-)

I'm really looking forward to Sonic Mania, not too fussed about the other game though, if its anything like Colours or Generations, then it'll probably be pretty good.

Also, is this the first major third party game to be announced for the NX?

Didn't Square Enix say that Dragon Quest XI was coming to the NX, and then have to backtrack quickly?

I have hope in Sonic 2017. I really enjoyed the last 3 games from Sonic Team, so don't see why this won't be just good.

And Sonic Mania is from Christian Whitehead, and that guy knows his Sonic, so it'll probably be the best 2D Sonic since Sonic Advance.

I definitely have hope for both these games, although will reserve proper judgement on 2017 until we see some gameplay. Hoping for multiple playable characters (besides Sonic) but don't see that happening

Hardly buzzing for Sonic 2017 but Mania looks fab; I'm not expecting it to beat 2/3 & Knuckles but at the very least it looks much better than 4.

Both titles looks promising especially Mania, cannot wait to see what Sega is going to do with the Blue Blur, just hope the don't do another Sonic 06 or Boom.

Well by that logic they hate Japan as well even though they are a Japanese company as it is only being released in North America
