I'm assuming Drakengard knowledge won't be needed for it, because that's a rabbit hole I'm not going down. Actually wonder how much Nier knowledge will be needed for it given how final that ending was, but Emil, Popola and Devola are a thing so I don't know.

Not sure how many people here are interested in Final Fantasy XV (considering there isn't a dedicated thread for it) but a new demo went live in the Japanese store today. Small chunk of the opening from the game. Holding back from playing it myself tho. But for those that are on the fence I recommend it since it is the final version more or less.

Just not much to talk about with it. It looks like it'll be a decent addition going by Duscae and what's been shown but yeah, not really interested in seeing the demo though since it's a game I'll be getting anyway. Can see the demo being an answer to potential damage to sales caused by the XIII series.

I watched a bit of the demo online and the game has certainly improved from the demo that came with Type 0, graphics certainly look great, be interesting to see how this one pans out.

I heard the games got to sell a fair amount to recoup all of the money it cost.

Literally every Final Fantasy. They're expensive games.

The whole XV Universe thing alongside planned DLC is obvious enough too. The game pretty much had to be started over once Nomura handed the project over to Tabata. I'd imagine transitions like that aren't cheap. Considering countless hours of development was probably already done. Not too fussed about the mobile games but I will be getting every story DLC in a heartbeat. Not long left now. Starting to feel surreal for me.

I have a question for anyone who's played Assassin's Creed III Liberation. PS Vita Original or PS3 HD Port? The HD port is currently on sale on the PSN Store for £4, and I can get the original physically for about £11. Which is better?

Guillermo del Toro's greasy heart is saved. Also Mads Mikkelsen, Sony are giving Hidy everything he wants from the looks of it

Suda51's new game, the free to play Let It Die finally has a release date. Today. Something so satisfying about hearing "You want some news on this game? Well it's out now"

Uncharted 4: The Lost Legacy is nothing like I expected - in a good way of course - but I suspected Chloe very early on as she wandered the streets. Distinctly Uncharted, just nothing like I'd envisioned.

That crowd was very wild too, right guys?

I'm really excited for Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part 2 already.

Death Stranding looks very Kojima, looks brilliantly weird.

The Last of Us Part 2 should be good, I only hope they actually have a decent story to have another game focused on Joel and Ellie rather than just cashing in on the success of the first game.

Death Stranding is now confirmed to be using the Decima Engine from Guerilla, same engine being used for Horizon Zero Dawn. Makes sense with some decent stealth mechanics shown so far and some pretty cool looking combat systems going on and just some really good looking environments.

I'm not emotionally ready for TloU Part 2 guys. That teaser almost ended me alone.

The Last of Us sequel is all I wanted and Sony delivered, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The Crash remaster looks ace even if I think Crash appearance looks a bit iffy.

Gravity Rush 2 demo was delightful. Never had a chance to play the first. Might dive into the remastered version sometime. As with NieR, holy freakin' heck. I am sold. Again, never played the first, but this game seems like separate thing from the original and should be fine to jump in right?

By all accounts I've heard it will be as MGR:R is to Metal Gear as Automata is to NieR/Drakengard. Perhaps more closely involved though given Square's input with it. Given there's a massive time jump between the first and this and the relatively minor success of the first I daresay you're safe, if not there's wikis since no one's going to go back and play Drakengard or NieR (even if NieR is a great story).

Did you play the Experienced Course? It has the 2 different Gravity Modes and another mission to do

I only had time to run through beginner but I'll make sure to give the experienced mode a try too.

Yeah, this game is insanely pretty. I don't really dabble with the series but I did play IX and enjoy it. XI is shaping up to be quite special tho.
