Re: [PS] PlayStation General
So PS4 Pro launches November 10th costing £349. The slim releases in most places by September 15th for £259. Was actually expecting the PS4 Pro to be nudging £400 if I'm being honest.

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
PS4 Slim (which from now on is just the new PS4), £249, September 15th
PS4 Pro, £349, November 10th
Pro looks way uglier than the original, just like the slim.
EDIT: Lol beat to it

Just beat you to it!
I'll agree that the Slim and Pro are pretty ugly looking consoles, no idea why they changed the styling that much really from the original.

Conference met my expectations which I set pretty realistically from the start. Even got a short glimpse that confirmed FF XV for Pro! Which I'm hoping we see more of at TGS.

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
Certainly a interesting looking console, the trailers certainly look very nice especially Horizon, but I'm gonna gather if you haven't got a 4K TV it's not really worth it.
I'll probably get one long down the line when it gets a bit cheaper and I get a new TV, but for £350 is a pretty good price for late adopters that waited.

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
The main reason I can see for getting the Pro is for when PlaystationVR comes out, as with the standard PS4 there'll be a more significant drop in frame rate and quality.

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
They mentioned Devs have freedom to take advantage of where the extra powers goes. So it can still benefit if you don't have 4K TVs. Like with what they showed off with Paragon. For me it now all just comes down to how FF XV looks. If there are substantial improvements over performance and visuals then I'm on board.

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
Nioh will be releasing in February 2017 which is a relief. Having XV and the Last Guardian release within the same week has killed me enough already as it has. Sony held Pre TGS show which I still need to catch up on but looks like a few neat things came out of it. Also happy Kingdom Hearts is getting pushed back to January too.

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
Nice to see some releases being spread out a bit as the end of November/ start of December seems to be quite busy with South Park, Final Fantasy, and now Last Guardian all coming out within that short time period.
Downloaded the new firmware update yesterday and they certainly improved the PS4 quite a bit, the folders are a good idea though they've took their time bringing it out. I like the new quick menu, as now it doesn't cut you out of the game, and you can also launch spotify without loading the app. Overall I really enjoyed experimenting with the new stuff.

Can you sort stuff in folders alphabetically or something cus I couldn't find a way and I'm too lazy to do that myself.

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
Glad World of Final Fantasy will be getting a Demo because it hasn't been stirring much interest in me which is surprising. I think the chibi designs put me off even tho everything else about the game looks really nice. Hopefully getting a chance to play might change my mind.

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
My mate had the same problem he spent over £700 on PSVR, Camera, Move and various games, he only played it was around 10-15 minuets and he felt really rough. He wish he never brought the thing now.RichardUK wrote:I was but now it has made me feel sick it has taken the fun away from ittoffeeman30 wrote:happy to see psvr launch today

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
I still have yet to try any form of VR. Been holding back any judgment till I get to try it. PS VR seems like the best entry point but I might wait longer down the line before I take the plunge. With Sony pretty much confirming there will be better revisions in the future. It's probably best to let VR work out it's baby steps first.

I've got a fair bit of VR content up on my YouTube channel masofbiohaz, I'm enjoying mine form from I've been reading people either love it or its making them feel sick almost right away and hate it.

Re: [PS] PlayStation General
I am not going to give up on it yet, I have not played it for the past couple of days because of how ill it made me, I think tonight I will try and play the resident evil demo and complete the london heist, masofdas wrote:I've got a fair bit of VR content up on my YouTube channel masofbiohaz, I'm enjoying mine form from I've been reading people either love it or its making them feel sick almost right away and hate it.
I also end up with fogging problems after a few minutes of playing and have to keep cleaning the lenses with the cloth you get, I think it is made worse because for some reason when I am wearing it I don't breathe normally and keep holding my breath for some reason
