Conker's design aside that tech is super cool, so I can't agree with the negative reaction. Hololens continues to look amazing

Yeah, the stuff they're doing looks great for it but can't say it'll be for me. I get loads of people will love it but I never really saw the appeal of having things like that in your room or wherever, maybe I just need that one thing that uses it in a way that clicks for me.

hololens will be gooseberry fool terrible and you know it

tech like this NEVER works first time round. look at kinect; it looked incredible in all the eton mess press videos (just like that conker hololens vid), but when it came down to using the gooseberry fool thing it was way less time consuming to navigate the xbox UI using a controller, like we'd been doing for 4950304030 years before, and it had precisely 0 must-have games. it still doesn't work to this day, kinect '2.0' for the xbone is a very expensive paperweight at best, and i have precisely zero gooseberry fool clue as to why i even bother keeping mine plugged in.

hololens will launch, be fun for about 5 minutes and then continue to be broken as gooseberry fool for the rest of it's life-cycle; we're years off of that kind of tech being openly available and actually working like it's supposed to. morpheus doesn't really look any better either.

But will the hololens be able to recognise black people?

The last dlc is out for assassin's creed syndicate but it trys to charge me £5.99 when I go to download it even though I have the season pass, anyone else having this problem?

Um is Hololens even going to work with the Xbox One? As far as I know it's its own embedded Windows 10 PC and software runs natively on the headset.

I managed to get a few of these while it was still working and I added them to my Microsoft account and they seem to work... I just don't know what the legal issues are here? Like, it was clearly an error but as it was a digital code you received it right away whereas they would normally cancel the order in a situation like this.

well done for getting some of them, it seems strange as it is not even like they just made a pricing error the title even says "free", very odd

Finally actually played on the Xbox One last night (yeah I don't play on it much), loaded up Rare Replay and headed to Banjo Kazooie and completed the first two worlds and it kind of reminded me just how great Banjo Kazooie was (and still is), not really interested in playing much on Rare Replay besides Banjo Kazooie/Tooie and Conkers Bad Fur Day (which is another game I've not played in years).

Also I've got Dirt Rally which is currently installing, been reading/watching about it and it sounds really good, will be giving it go shortly.

Perfect Dark and Blast Corps are other great games on RR and totally hold up. The Viva Pinata games are also great highlights that I recommend. Nuts & Bolts and Kameo are fun but flawed games that are still worth your time.

I've never actually played Perfect Dark, but considering how it's meant to be the successor to Goldeneye 64 I really should give it a go, I've played a bit of Viva Pianta but it never really grabbed me, maybe I need to give that another shot as well.

I got overwhelmed by Viva Piñata the first time I played it as it threw so much at me in one go I couldn't keep up, I ended up turning it off for six months. When I went back to it I took my time ignoring all of the things the game was throwing at me and deliberately held back and it proved to be one of the most charming games I've played. I've sunk countless hours into it and enjoyed every minute of it. Perfect Dark is an amazing piece of design and still holds up as well today as it did when released on the N64 - possibly more so as you can see the detail much clearer and appreciate what Rare did more with the current hardware of today. Conker is amazing too and while Blast Corps may not be much to look at, the gameplay is still as fine as ever. Rare really nailed it in the N64 days.

I just did a piece on GIntendo about the 360 mainly and remembering the good old days of Xbox before MS started cocking everything up around 2012

I switched on my Xbox one for the first time in months and have had to wait over 2 hours for it to update!

I swear the Xbone is the worst for this. Every time I want to play a game there's always some massive update and prevents me from actually playing the game.

It was even worse when I was in the preview programme thing as it would literally update every single time I switched it on
