A heads up for anyone who's missed it. Rising Thunder has been cancelled due to Radiant Entertainment being bought up by Riot Games, owners of LoL. Servers are closing on the 18th but the developers have said with regards to Rising Thunder that they're working on a new project that they're excited about.

As much as I want SFV I'm waiting until the price drops a little bit. It's not like I'll be any good at it anyway, so I'm fine sticking with JStars until the price drops enough for me to warrant buying it. Really loving JStars right now, managed to get a 100% combo down with Oga Tatsumi and it looks dope as hell. The card system is super awesome as well and I spent like 2 hours straight getting my perfect deck built. I really love technical characters, are there any technical fighters in SFV? I haven't really looked all that much into the different move lists, but from videos I've seen nobody really jumps out to me as a technical fighter. I guess maybe Vega might be if his moveset is similar to his standard.

Conversely, if they have actually stopped Vega being an obtuse piece of eton mess I might play him

Played around with all the characters in SFV now and they all feel really good, can't wait for the March update to hit for more access to a fuller game but as it is I like what's there. The introductory story in advance of the Summer full story is fine and things like survival and online are good enough for now. Going to try to main Nash and have Cammy and Laura as my seconds.

Haven't touched SFV for a couple of weeks as I'm waiting for that update, here's hoping it'll be out next week.

I wish I had a PS4 or a PC good enough to run SFV. I've got an extreme fighting game itch and nothing to scratch it with.

Nash is pretty strong so far. Also the number of people who don't understand V-skills and keep throwing out fire balls, it's great.

won my first SFV tournament tonight, was only 16 people but I got a cheeky 40 quid off it + i'm starting to feel Mika alot more. In all, it was needed to get me hype for the next batch of tourneys.

I need to get back on Kof13 and 3rd Strike before hypespotting. Had no time to play them recently because of uni and the smash tournaments I've been going to. If I can get enough practice not to go 0-2 in either of them then I'll take it. When I signed up back at new years it felt like I had a lot of time to get ready, what I didn't know at the time was how terribly wrong I was.

March update announced to launch on the 28th for SFV

So the update has dropped and as of today there's a decent handful of changes in SFV, not least Alex is now available for free to everyone until the Zenny system is up and running. Capcom have also said any future DLC character released prior to the system's launch will get similar treatment. He also comes with his introductory story in advance of the main story coming in the Summer.

Challenges and the store are also available now, challenges providing 10 combos and link challenges for people to work through with each character and the store's got alt costumes and colours as well as profile stuff available for fight coins now too.

EDIT: Also has to be said the netcode does feel like it's improved with this update, something that was very much needed.

Play wise Ibuki looks pretty fun to use from the trailer I only hope her premium Costume is more like her 3rd strike one I really don't like the half assed schoolgirl ninja look

Rumours going around saying the Injustice 2 could be announced at E3, hope so thought it was a fantastic fighter.

Wouldn't be surprised if MKX S3 gets announced at E3 too.

Also Ibuki looks great, hoping she makes me want to main her again but we'll see.

Good news for MKX, it's still going to be getting support, even with Injustice 2 pending. Expect an announcement drop at EVO according to Ed, really makes me want to drop back into it but then I also need to drop back into SFV actually, not played since Alex was released and the rust will be real.
