I absolutely love all 3 of these games. They're flawed in places, but there are MUCH worse out there.

Wrong on so many levels.

Actual bad games I own/have owned:

My Hero - Master System
Pit Fighter - Master System
Shadow of the Beast II - Megadrive
Shaq Fu - Megadrive
Hi Octane - Saturn - abysmal Wipeout clone with no redeeming features
Hardcore 4x4 - Saturn
Hyper Lode Runner - Gameboy
Ren & Stimpy: Veediots - Gameboy
Al Unser Jr Arcade Racing (PC, early 90's)
FX Fighter (PC)
Clockwork Knight (Saturn)
Gunvalkyrie (Xbox) - controls utterly ruined the game
Rumble Racing (PS2) - fun until you notice every car has the exact same handling and top speed, regardless of physical appearance/type of car.
Fantavision (PS2) - Looked pretty but was boring to play
007 Nightfire (PS2) - I enjoyed Goldeneye (N64) so was hoping this would be as good, it wasn't.
Pac N' Roll (DS) - good concept but the god awful stylus controls utterly ruined it

Most of the truly awful games I was unfortunate enough to own were either bought blindly (or cheap with pocket money) or received as birthday/christmas presents, once I had my own income and payed attention to reviews I very rarely bought anything really terrible, that's not to say I didn't make the occasionally blunder with gaming purchases (007 Nightfire I'm looking at you).

I'll add more as I retrieve my suppressed memories of wasted money.

I've come into ownership of a couple of the Cruis'n series over its long and drawn out tenure. Those are all trash.

That wasn't a bad game, it was just too bloody difficult to enjoy playing with the Dreamcast pad, was supposedly brilliant with a wheel & pedals.

I played Bubsy 3D.

I was pretty young so I didn't really see it as a bad game. Just...difficult. Looking back now though, it did seem pretty clunky and awful, especially compared to other games in its time.

Also played this Bugs Bunny game on the GB that's also apparently terrible but I enjoyed it a lot at the time. Again, I was a kid.

Hmmm, Virtual Pool on the N64 was pretty awful. It also crashed several times on the day I bought it, took it back and swapped it for Banjo-Kazooie - one of the best gaming decisions I've made.

Ninjabread Man (Wii)
Bit Boy!! (Wii Shop Channel)
WWF Warzone (N64)
- I remember buying and playing this to death with my brother and absolutely loving it. Didn't touch it in years after migrating to the GameCube then decided to go through my N64 collection a while ago (not that far though over two years later) and its was awful. I accept the graphics for the time as it was still in the early 3D days but the game itself is truly hideous. I really can't see how or why we loved it so. Yuk.
WWF Attitude (N64) - Same kinda thing really although no where near as appalling as Warzone.
Danger Girl (PS1) Bought after playing and enjoying my cousins copy and same again, I enjoyed it and finished it a couple of times. Went back to it a few years ago for another try to find it was awful too and ridiculously hard in places. I gave up and that's not something I do very often at all.
Krusty's Fun House (SNES) - Sucked in by the lure of The Simpsons licence I invested in it but I was bored within minutes. A lemmings clone with gameplay like a lemming - and I'm not a fan of Lemmings either.

I'll have a think and see if there's any others, I'm sure there is but I've probably buried the memories for good reason...

I suddenly remembered Spiderman 3 for the Wii and, even worse, Iron Man, also for the Wii. Awful games. Spiderman 3 somehow looked worst than the Spiderman 2 game and also, iirc, was more limiting in what you could do outside the main story. (Which isn't me saying Spiderman 2 was bad at all; it was pretty decent iirc).

I can't believe some of the good games - WWF Warzone/Attitude, Toejam and Earl - that people are listing next to absolute nuclear-level dross like Shaq Fu and Days of Thunder.

Ballz 3D is exactly what you'd expect.
Earthworm Jim on the GBA is an absolute mess. Same goes for the port of Earthworm Jim 2.
There aren't many others that are sticking out at the moment.

Also, who's that clown who suggested Nightfire's a bad game?

Worst Retro game I own ... Fatman on megadrive.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JglLtfEGhUc thats me reviewing it years ago... not great quality but you will see how awful it is. This makes Shaq Fu seem like a work of art

I remember playing fatman on an emulator or something 10 years ago. I thought it'd be a funny game because of its title. Man, we were so badly disappointed.

People complaining about modern games being released in an unfit state clearly haven't encountered some of the horrors of the 8-bit/16-bit era.

Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, which I got for the PS2 I think. So amazingly bad - especially for me since I hadn't known about its reputation when I got it.
