Redoing FFVII after FFV and FFIX recently. Was thinking of doing it at some point then AGDQ happened.

Spent a few hours playing Megamen X today, played it briefly before, but more seriously today, I need practise, and lots of it, but I'm improving quite well.

Currently on to the 7th dungeon of Link's Awakening. Super-unforgiving but greatly enjoyable game, I could never get into it as a kid as I could never work my way around that stupid forest at the beginning.

Pokémon FireRed.

The original on the gameboy was my first videogame, so it's a great nostalgia trip, even if I've played this remake before.

Toejam and Earl: Panic On Funkotron. A pretty good platformer, which reminds me a hell of a lot of Earthworm Jim. I've also been playing THPS4 and sucking at it.

I've certainly fallen in love with it, makes me kinda sad I was never able to get to grips with it when younger. Have to say though, the last few dungeon bosses were stupidly easy, especially compared to how difficult the actual dungeons were to reach them. Also, the Wind Fish is some trippy eton mess.

Ahhhh, Burnout 3. Great game and wasn't that the one that had the DJ in and introduced us to the sublime vertical takedown? Memories! :D

I can only begin to describe my memories of B3 and I couldn't tell you how many times this disk has been in my PS2.

'Aftertouch Takedowns' - the carnage goes on and on and on ....
Time Attacks - because I love rally
Road Rage - because we all need to let it out at times
Crash mode - because you receive payment for the best and most horrific crash you can muster up. Its insanely satisfying .. in one devastating crash I stopped a country's worth of cars and the whole thing culminated with two coaches being shunted down the side of a cliff by an artic. sooo lovely and strangely picturesque. 'Crash dollars' a plenty with that one mmmmmm.

Recently downloaded Donkey Kong 64 on the Virtual Console, a game I thought I wouldn't get to play...

...and as a result I'd already ended up watching a playthrough of it on Youtube. Ah well, still having a lot of fun with it so far, solid if slightly cheesy game with a fantastic soundtrack, and with Banjo-Kazooie never to be released on Virtual Console, the VC version of DK 64 is the closest you're going to get to a 3D Rare Platformer on the Wii U.

Even if having to use the C-stick for the button commands is rather difficult. I keep getting out the camera when I want to throw a grenade or playing my instrument when I mean to get out the gun.

Working my way through Majora's Mask (3DS). The time limit doesn't lend itself well to side quests but enjoying it regardless.

Sonic Advance. I haven't played this game in forever, but oh man, it's just as good as I remember. All the level themes are coming flooding back to me and it is a wonderful feeling.
