I didnt like Gotcha Force... just didnt click with me, but I do kind of regret selling it. I brought it for 12quid and sold it for 30 and spent the money on more/other cube games.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

It was actually an awesome game from memory, and collecting all the eton mess gave you something to do. You could explore all of Hogwarts as well. I don't even like Harry Potter, but damn that game brings back memories.

EDIT: Also CEX is utter eton mess, they always rip me off with terrible deals and eton mess customer service.

whenever I have compared the prices CEX will give you compared to granger, game, playtime and all the other main high street style stores there trade in prices have been better... sometimes they sell something for more but the give much better trades.... the customer service is usually low and sometimes the hygiene of the shops is as wel but Game and most of the other big ones will meet CEX's trade in prices if you take in a print out....

Game once wanted to give me 3 for an xbox 360 game but ended up giving me 11 because theyd promised to beat cex and cex had offerd 10.

I bought a PS2 Slim from CEX recently and I would have gotten it online but I needed it immediately for my YouTube channel. Lo and behold, the PS2 was broken and wouldn't read discs. I went back to CEX where they refused to give me my money back but offered to replace the PS2 if they could confirm if it was broken. I had to wait 2 hours just to exchange my PS2.

Before this, they have routinely done similar things to me in the past, such as selling me scratched games. At GAME, they at least check the thing to make sure it works before they sell it to you. Plus, game will match CEX's price if you ask. Not only this but I once saw (About 1 year ago?) a Nintendo Wii (Pre-owned) at CEX. They were selling it for £150. That's only £30 cheaper than a new Wii at launch!

Another great Gamecube game is Chibi Robo, sad that not many copies were made or sold.

I found Twilight Princess a much more enjoyable experience on the Gamecube, the controls are just how I like my Zelda. Paper Mario TTYD is a must and while not exlcusive; X-Men Legends, LOTR: Third Age and the orginal Lego Star Wars games are great fun.

One game I've always wanted to play and never have been able to is Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Ever since it came out I've been dying to play it, and to put in to perspective how bad it is I had a dream the other night where I found it pre-owned in a shop for £2.99 and when I got to the counter I found out that it was actually a DVD of a movie I'd never heard of.

Ouch. Some dream.
Of course, I do have a retro game store near me. Bought a Mega Drive 6-1 Plug and Play off them last year. Haven't been in there since, but I might consider having a look-in some time soon.

Damn, that is good, even if I don't have a problem with TP's Wii controls in the slightest and don't even like Fire Emblem that much.

You could get £60 or 70 quid for them on a bad day on ebay. wish I could find a bargain. Found 2 places to have a browse now again but they only have a few Cube games at the mo. They seem in the know as well so I doubt they'll be the source of any bargains :(

Just to suggest a good cube game that wont break the bank I am a big fan of ... Gladius... It is a bit like Fire Emblem and I really enjoyed it.

When CEX have it they sell it for 6.50 I think downside is when they have it for ps2 its only like 2.50.

Fire Emblem is my fave cube game though ... Never going to get rid of mine because it was a present from my fiance so its a good game, worth a bit and present given with love so it stays.

Anyone know where I can get my hands on some Gamecube game cases? A few years ago someone sent me a bunch of games for free, but to save money on postage, sent the disc, inserts and booklets without the cases. I bought some cases back then, thinking they were Gamecube cases, but there are just really small cases that fit the gamecube size disc, but obviously can't be used for the booklets etc. Had a look on ebay and amazon and unable to find anything :(.

Hmmm... yeah might just buy a handful of cheap sports games and swap the cases around. Wish I'd have thought about this before I made my order earlier, could have added some on to it. If I wanted to buy some now I'd need to pay another £2.50 P&P. I'll just wait until I go into town on Tuesday and see if I can pick up some cheap ones in a shop :P.

So, I checked out that independant game store today, and look what I found.

Brilliant game to my collection, and I think the only GCN Star Wars game I'm missing [I'll check on that later], aside from the LEGO games.
Unfortunely, being at uni, I don't have my Gamecube on me, so I'm going to have to wait until I'm back home before I can play it.

Hopefully it's controls are as good as Clone Wars, for example?
Just looked like I said I would, and the only GCN Star Wars games I'm missing are Rouge Squadron III and Jedi Knight II.
I'll be looking into them, of course, but a first hand experience always helps.

Jedi Knight 2 is not that good.... its another cube game I used to own but have sold. I proberbly shouldn't as I have pretty much all the other starwars cube games but I sold it years ago and for more than its worth.

Jedi Knight 2 is ok... once you FINALLY get your force powers back. Academy is better though. Got em both on the xbox since Gamecube versions are usually at least triple the price :P.

If I had an Xbox, I would.
Although considering that store I was in had boxed Gamecube's for £30, it wouldn't surprise me if the other gen 6 consoles were roughly the same price there.

Just bought twilight princess off another forum for £23. USA version but considering the price it is totally worth it because now I get to play it properly, not a mirror mode version.

I saw someone mention Chibi Robo? That game is one of the most amazing things in existence, just really fun, and the game play is interesting, yet makes you think, I am really glad I paid the £30 it was in CeX

It really is an amazing game.

T'is quite a rare one these days too as it was one of the last major Gamecube games to be released.

I tell you what though, games that are set in a regular home environment like Chibi Robo, Eledees, or Toy Commander on DC, have always been rare, which is a shame as they do make for some truly wonderful gaming experiences.

Chibi-Robo is without a doubt one of the GameCube's finest and a true gem of that generation. It's one of those that I'll never part with.
