Thanks to Genericenemy and everyone else.

Once upon an internetz, there existed a punderful community. This is their legacy...

MEMORABLE MEMBERS
GAMERKADE:

One of the legitimate good things to come out of ONM. He seemed a pretty cool guy.
Organ Donor Thread RIP Kade Davidson News Story

BONSLEY
A rather interesting guy this one. He and his twin brother, Donnel, masqueraded as 14 year old girls, luring unsuspecting victims into their cave. Every now and then, rumours would circulate of a so-called "Christmas card list" which, in all likeliness, was probably the list of the next people they'd be snatching. Whenever they were called out on their odd behaviour, Bonsley would get upset. One day, however, a video surfaced of them and, with the evidence they needed, the moderators were finally able to rid the forums of two of its most terrifying evils.
Bonsley wrote:Chrismas Card List: TheRexFactor, Nintendo Boy, ChrisONM, King slazo, nintengeek, radish head, King-X, MamoswineTamer, Lady Gagagged, kingconnor, jimbob555, PrincessMidna.; )
^scarily, most of these people are now gone...

RADISH HEAD
Dressed like the Swedish Chef but helluva lot scarier, RH wanted everyone to join his "genius" business ideas. His best idea was to repeat the success thread over and over again. The most hilarious example of an epic fail to ever grace the lands of ONM.
GEO
ONM Australia was a barren wasteland. Then Geo decided to post child porn and BAM! the place went under.
Also worth knowing: englishGAMER (troll) Bubble boy (troll) NintenGO (cool guy, mods hated him), Ethan Hunt (pretended to have cancer) and Dread Raven (jerk).

Not a bad idea, especially if it's all archived anyway

I agree with this notion. If I have the spare time I will focus on archiving Mafia games and ONM F1.

Gamerkade. Can't remember the specifics but iirc he had lung problems. Started a thread to raise awareness of organ donations and got a fair amount of people to sign up, including myself.

Turns out he died a little while later.

One of the legitimate good things to come out of ONM. He seemed a pretty cool guy.

It'd be a shame to lose the smash thread.

What about that tech troubleshooting thread that seemed to (from what I remember on my few visits to the onm forums) be various forumers requesting BarryBarryK for advice on tech releated problems. Even if we can't add to the threads (presume new ones will be started in place) the questions that were asked could still be relevant to some people or the people who asked them in the first place.

This was a fabulous thread and the fact that it fizzled so quickly after its latest return (a while back now) is quite puzzling. Still "Charles at the last supper" has to be up there as one of the best.

Dan Brown should have written about this instead of all that Mary Magdalene crap. Now THAT would have been a book worth reading.

Would be great if someone could grab the Pokemon Dawn thread, even though the fan game died it was still a big part of the Pokemon forum for some time.

The not-yet official pun thread

+ better quick links to the GNC Jukeboxes

GNC Jukebox(by numberish fellow)

GNC Jukebox 2(by Nintendo Ninja)

Edit: I put the url's into the wayback machine but you can only view the first page. Did something strange happen or do you need to archive each page individually ? I can just post the url's if you like. Sorry never used an internet archiver before.

You need to archive every individual page.

But if you archive the first page, go onto it, then everytime you click the next page it will give you the option to archive that page. Click that and it should archive.

Repeat until entire thread is saved. Warning, this will waste a large chunk of your spare time.

The task of archiving all of ONM's eye candy is one that should not be underestimated. Kudos to anyone for giving this a go.
