This might actually be the best E3 conference I've ever seen

Lots of cool stuff, not much in the way of stuff with release dates though.

FFVII Remake, TLG and Shenmue 3 are all massive announcements but the smaller stuff like Persona, Kingdom Hearts and even the likes of announcing PS classics for PS4 were all missing.

Shenmue 3, great announcement but it'll be years before we get to play it, same with FFVII. That TLG gameplay though.

Persona's not massively surprising, was almost definitely going to be a TGS title anyway. Kingdom Hearts will be in the SE conference tomorrow.

The Last Guardian made the conference alone. I am beyond excited for that game, it's finally happening. It looks like it's going to be wonderful too.

Shenmue III is one hell of an announcement, even if it's just a kickstarter. E3 is all about the hype and Shenmue III certainly delivers. Likewise for the FFVII remake.

I'm super excited to see a new project from Mm, and it's looking wonderful. Mm seems incapable of doing wrong. Don't forget Tearaway Unfolded too, which had a brief showing! I expect we'll see more soon from that.

That Gearbox game seems to have been forgotten amongst the other stuff, but it looked brilliant. If anything it seems to recall a next-gen, western Freedom Wars. Which I am incredibly up for. So that's shot onto my radar.

No Man's Sky's scale is just mindblowing, and it looks both beautiful and packed with content.

Morpheus has a mech fighting game, so I am super interested in that. How could I not be.

Uncharted 4 looks amazing, just as I'd expect. I can't wait for that.

EDIT:

And oh yeah, Firewatch isn't a new announcement either but that's looking wonderful. Such a unique looking game, where player choice and immersion really matters.

Horizon is probably the best thing to come out of E3 so far in terms of actually being something new. Looked very cool.

Great conference. Horizon is probably the most interesting game revealed so far at E3 by far. The bad thing for PS4 owners however is beyond third party games available on most platforms, Sony has nothing for the year which is a problem they've had since release of the PS4.

To be honest it's not exactly like the XBone is offering much unique to it either so that's really not an issue.

The lack of first party titles is not an issue? Almost 2 years into its life cycle you would hope they start to have more on offer for a steady stream. Why would you buy a PS4 if you could just buy it on PC. I mean at least xbox have a bunch of first party stuff releasing for the rest of this year. Gears, Halo, Forza, Tomb Raider, Rare collection etc.

I'm sure it'll pick up in the next year or two but announcing a kickstarter (2017), a FF7 remake (which is going to be years away) seemed to just fill the gaps and make everyone lose their eton mess. As I said conference was great and I look forward to picking up a PS4 again in future and most the titles announced, but for now there is no reason to go grab one for the holiday period. Unless of course they announce some new stuff at the Paris event prior to gamescom in October.

No, it's not an issue. Sony announced in advance E3 was going to focus on third party exclusive games (nearly all planned for release this year or next with many big titles missing for other conferences later in the year). The lack of first party games on the system at the conference was neither a surprise nor cause for concern. It just sounds like you're either misinformed or trying to start a console war thing.

Tbh looking over what happened during the conference there's not much there that really got me interested

Yeah, to me it looks like the type of game that's just hard to demo in a few minutes. When I see it in a shop I'll buy it, but I'm not going to get excited for it just yet, we've seen it at e3 before.

amazed just how consistent this years e3 is. dropping (almost) all the gimmicks is great along with the lack of a need to push hardware means we are seeing some great stuff. games companies have finally worked out if they make what people have been asking for for years they can make lots of money

Well that was certainly a pleasant surprise.

Very, very impressed with these announcements, especially the FF7 remake and Shenmue 3 (OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD!!!).

So much hype right now, with this, Fallout 4, Black Ops 3, and the rest, the PS4 looks to have a great future.

Who wants to buy me a ps4?

I knew Mighty no9 and Bloodstained showed us the kind of eton mess kickstarter can do, but Shenmue 3 is kinda like, gooseberry fool anything is possible.

The Shenmue 3 crowdfunding page has already reached over $1.7million, so at this rate, the project should have no trouble getting underway.

No Mans Sky looks pretty good, The Last Guardian looks ok (but to me nothing mindblowing), Battlefront looks pretty good but I expect they will DLC the hell out of it. Uncharted looks great as always

It looked to me like it was basically ICO 2, only with a big critter instead of the girl.

That's no bad thing mind.

I never played ICO so that most likely explains it.
