Bless him, he was so nervous
Game looks cute though

Also PvZGW2 having multiplayer modes playable against AI has made me much more likely to actually get it

Now for some sports eton mess

Battlefront looks far better than I thought it would but I'll still be waiting until it comes out to make up my mind since it's been proven time and time again that EA are full of eton mess and the press will hype whatever EA are hyping. Titanfall anyone.

It's got less in it than Battlefront 2 had. Everything they showed there on that trailer could be done on a game ten years older than it, just not as nice looking.

Bring back the mode where you play as wampa's attacking the rebel base

Hopefully Yavin, Mos Eisely, Dagobah, some space stations, Death Star etc. like the old games. Doesn't have to be a battle from the films.

Nice to know it has a name, and I think I saw a Krogan in the trailer. Interested to see how this plays out

Looks like after Future Soldier Ubisoft wanted to waste no time and jumped straight back on the horse further pissing off Ghost Recon fans

And then we all cried a thousand tears as Beyond Good and Evil 2 was nowhere to be seen

Ghost Recon open world looks cool though. Open world with viable stealth is something of my dreams.

Viable stealth and open world aren't compatible though. You need solid level design to pull it off, and turning Ghost Recon into Mercenaries (and it blatantly just is a Mercenaries game) will just annoy people. Ghost Recon only ever works when it's absolutely punishing, running around on ATV's chasing convoys is the Call of Duty action influence. After Blacklist failed so badly they really should have learned that giving players the option to either stealth or action it up, just means the game basically plays itself and fails at both.

I don't know, Ground Zeroes demonstrated it well, albeit on a small scale. All signs point to MGSV doing open world-like stealth very well. The stealth in that demo reel looked competent.

MGS has never and will never be as punishing as the older Ghost Recon titles are. Hell MGS is practically an arcade game by comparison. MGS is a great stealth series, but 'realism' is way, way down on Kojima's priorities where as the older Ghost Recon games weren't that far removed from something like ARMA today

Oh yeah, sure. I think we're talking at cross-purposes here. I'm happy with a less punishing, less realistic game. I've never really been a Ghost Recon fan, but open world and stealth looks both viable and fun so I'm interested. I can understand why you wouldn't be as a past Ghost Recon fan.

And the arcade-like gameplay (for lack of a better description) doesn't mean MGS can't be challenging. Perfect stealth definitely takes good planning and game knowledge.

Oh definitely, I'm a Metal Gear fan too, but those titles are worlds apart. I love the gameplay in that series but the stealth in MGS is preposterous and with AI that are basically blind and deeply stupid and even then tons of ways to recover after getting spotted (or now even a chance to stop an alert) and even when it all goes pete tong you can still just murder everyone and hide for a bit and it all goes away. An older Ghost Recon title would be ten minutes trekking in from a drop site away from the mission area before spending another ten minutes just watching enemy patterns, then getting shot and killed by an enemy you didn't even notice, that's so far away they're barely a clump of pixels and told to try again.

MGS is just a completely different style of game. It's just annoying because practically no one is making that type of game any more and Ubi could have called it anything else. Rainbow Six is a more tactical Counter-Strike, Splinter Cell is God knows what at this stage and the last Ghost Recon game Future Soldier was essentially CoD meets Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Rainbow Six Siege looks great, but the guys playing were acting so hard.

I'm hoping that there is a mode that disables reviving people. They started off by saying "once you're dead, you're dead" and then proceed to show gameplay footage of people going down and getting revived. Lame.

Caught up with the end of EA. Battlefront looks super cool, basically just Battlefront 2 remaster but that's exactly what it should be really.
