Ours has been up for over 3 weeks now, but then our house Christmas is this Saturday so we are justified

Never had a non-artificial tree. They seem like an expensive hassle.

Our Christmas tree went up yesterday which is really quite early for us, we don't tend to get the tree up for another few days yet.

Always have a artificial one as well, real ones are a right pain with the needles getting everywhere.

Edit, OR, why is Christmas this Saturday for your house?

I live in a house share, everyone goes back home to their family for Christmas so we have our own house Christmas earlier while everyone is still around.

12 days before 12 days after. Tradition means nothing next to your Americanised commercialism at all does it? It sickens me. What's worse is I bet Richard's is already up, and he's supposed to be a patriot!

Put our red tree up last week, love having the lights on at night make the house feel homely.

We put up the Christmas tree in early December usually. The family tree is real but I have my own artificial tree's of different sizes.

We put up a very sparse-looking fake tree a few days before Christmas. We used to put up our big ass fake tree which the cats used to climb up and knock decorations off, but its just too much hassle to move up and down from the loft

Normally the first weekend in December is when we put our tree up. Up until a few years ago we always had a real tree. I know they could be a right pain finding one to fit in your house, getting it in your house, stabbing yourself with pine needles, picking up said pine needles that constantly dropped on the floor and trying in vain to keep your tree alive until just after New Year but I'd still choose them over an artificial tree any day. They look way cooler when they're up and decorated plus that smell...I love it.

Oh, and since I still live at home its the folks' decision why we don't have real ones anymore.

we've had the same artificial tree since I was born.

will go up sometime over the weekend most likely, my mom does all the christmas decorations, our focus is way way more on the interior, my mom's approach is why bother when we can't see them. We do still stick up lights and a wreath for outside but that's it.

To be honest my mom is great at putting up the decorations and the house always looks super festive and awesome. We have multiples trees, 4 I think, the main big on in the corner of the living room, one small one in the conservatory, one in the hallway, and an led silver/blue-ish one for the landing that you always knock the baubles off when you go up or down the stairs.

I have a small tree which i keep here on the desk, i don't have a lot of space which makes trying to do anything more elaborate a pretty tricky task.

we have a larger tree that is a lot better but it does take up to much room in this house, its also amazing that there is anything left on the garland with how much it sheds!!

Only had real trees twice (since we moved into a larger house) and wouldn't go back to fake now.

The tree is about 6 ft tall.

Our decorations go up on the first weekend of December and come down on NYE normally.

well its been a tradition here since the 1800's, it came across due to the close royal family ties to Germany, so now its British!

Some curry is British though, Tikka Masala erupted from Birmingham or somewhere. But tbh Christmas should not be attributed as BRITISH tradition, the common practice should be described at best as western, given it's figurehead is a combination of a greek saint, dutch folklore and odin.
