It was confirmed that you can actually go take on the final boss from the start of the game if you want. Obviously you'd be very unprepared, and you would get nothing of the story and context revealed to you - but it is technically possible.

I really like how it appears that the story is something you gradually discover across your adventure rather than a concrete linear sequence of events.

This game just sounds perfect, it'll be great for speedrunners you can just defeat the final boss after you've woken up, imagine it'll be a one/two hit kill for Link if you choose to try final boss after the start though. Tempting to give it a go though.

As far as I know all that was said in the stream is that it is possible to fight Ganon naked, which is not the same as saying you can fight him whenever.

But I didn't watch the last couple of hours.

Think it was Bill who said it in passing on the stream that he could go fight Ganon right now if he wanted to.

Revealed by Aonuma himself actually (in an interview with Polygon).
I'd call him a pretty reliable source.

if the recommended way to beat the game isn't to throw a near-broken master sword at ganon, literally throw it, i'm out

Aunoma has stated that there's no difference in experience between WiiU and NX version of the game.

I expected that really - if it runs better and looks better that's fine by me (and will be impressive as the Wii U version seems great).

That's experience. I'm only in for NX because of the promise of draw distance and frame rate.

Anyone think Treehouse will have a surprise right off the bat today?
Nintendo Life confirmed some times, and while the day starts at 18:00, the first confirmed time is 18:30 with the Pokemon Go stuff, which is only lasting about 20 minutes or so, with the next confirmed time being 18:55 for the new RPG game.

So long as it's something unconfirmed and not something mentioned as previously coming, I'll be fine with it.

Mother 3 perhaps? I hope so solely to tick of another part of my E3 Bingo.

My E3 Bingo has less crossed off than I'd anticipated, while some false predictions are still technically relevant - Spiderman PS4 being developed by Insomniac rather than Sucker Punch or how Agents of Mayhem is set in the broader Saints Row universe for instance.

Back on topic though, I sincerely hope that Colour Splash shows more promise. Not fussed by Pokémon GO or this new mystery IP however.

I thought I'd read somewhere Colour Splash was on at 6pm but I may (probably will be) mistaken. Also what's this about a new RPG?

To me it feels like those apartment building games like Tiny Death Star, except there's actual exploration involved.
Maybe when we see a bit more of the other things.

Looks nice but it's filling a space that's already occupied by a lot of other similar games on the 3DS. Just give me back Golden Nintendo. Why do you guys pretend like it doesn't exist anymore.
I am the reason, the answer and the problem.

Seeing the gameplay has certainly made me more interested than the trailer alone.
