KOROKS?!?!
Ever since joining the original ONM I've been a huge Nintendo fan (specifically Zelda) and am looking forward to some great discussions. I was previously known as Lego Master

Some guy on Reddit pointed this out from the trailer -- possible NX controller leak, identical to a patent.

Yes Koroks :D

This open traversal and just finding of items/weapons is so cool. I love the tree cutting, gives a real survival game vibe.

Oh damn weapon damage too. And is that enemy health bars?

It feels like a mix between Shadow of the Colossus, Monster Hunter and Animal Crossing.

This looks so gooseberry fool good. Also no rupees being shown yet interestingly. Also I'm not seeing the Animal Crossing? It looks like any number of survival-adventure-fantasy games with influences from all over the place but Animal Crossing?

Cutting down trees to gather Apples. Maybe a bit of a stretch, but it's what popped into my head.

Yeah, I want it soooooo bad. Looks very western in areas such as the individual stats for weapons and armour and weapon degradation like in the Witcher 3 which someone pointed out to me.

I'm definitely feeling the SOTC vibes.

Why is this being released next year this is unfair

Wii U versions probably finished, I still think it's been delayed solely so its a joint launch on Wii U and NX.

The SOTC vibe is what's hitting me hard most. I hope that stamina meter can be developed as you progress the game too.

SOTC is an open, lonely wilderness with minimal story or direction and heavily features a climbing mechanic that uses a stamina bar.

Yeah I can definitely see the similarities between the two then.

No music in the overworld and the fact that you also ride a horse in that game will have some similarities.

Very interesting approach to the weapons in this new game, didn't see that coming, though I guess the lack of a sword in the first footage should have been a giveaway.

I wonder what timeline it will come under. I'm thinking the 'Hero is defeated' timeline, maybe between ALTTP/Seasons and Ages/Links Awakening as that section is called 'The era of light and dark' and at the start of the stream the voice mentioned that Link is the light. Just a quick thought.

The art style looks simply beautiful, especially given the game's open nature. So far, I'm loving the ways in which Anouma and his team are approaching it structurally, with the whole survival aspect being an especially big take away from this presentation.

Can't wait to see more.

Koroks suggest it could be adult timeline since they're from Wind Waker.

Oh yeah good point re the Koroks, maybe far in the future after Spirit Tracks or maybe we get to flood Hyrule pre Wind Waker.

This is easily one of the best games they've showed off at E3 this year... it's such a shame that this is only one of two games that they are showing off, at least compared to the multitude of games that Sony showed off.

Wonder whether this game's launch will end up clashing with Horizon Zero Dawn...
