I ordered mine in July as soon as they were announced, for now they're rarer than hens teeth. More keep coming in stock and disappearing all the time though so eventually they'll meet demand.

I have not checked but might be worth trying Tesco or Smyths

Would be nice but I strongly doubt there will be a snes classic anytime soon. It would seriously hamper vc profits

Can't believe they've stopped production already, it's still selling really well (well it was, I guess not so much now) which clearly shows there's still a market for it.

In other news there's rumours about a SNES Mini currently in development, while I've enjoyed my NES mini I think I'd play the SNES classics a lot more. Hope they don't have so few units to shift it does turn out to be a thing.

I think this is a pretty good blog post on it.

I think its a pain but its kind of typical Nintendo.

I think it's rubbish that they've discontinued it already but, I would certainly buy that they only planned on selling it a novelty holiday gift and drastically under-estimated demand (practically everyone else did too when it was announced). Why they didn't re-evaluate that after it sold better than nicotine laced heroin is another story, but if a successor is coming I'm happy enough. I'll pick up a SNES Mini too this year, especially if it's as cheap the first one.
