Re: The Legend Of Zelda Thread : Twilight Princess HD

Post by Robbo-92 » Tue Apr 19, 2016 3:34 pm

Just got Hyrule Castle to do now in Twilight Princess and from memory it doesn't take that long so I should definitely have it finished off by this evening, I'm actually very tempted to play Skyward Sword again next as its one of the few Zelda games I've only played once and while I enjoyed it I didn't love all of it (mainly the imprisioned) so maybe it'll improve on a second play through.
H.Kazuhira wrote:I said the idea was interesting,I don't actually expect it to happen tho. We are allowed to speculate and have imaginations you know. My last post was aimed towards the entire game. We really can't sit here expecting something we are already familiar with. To say it's just going to be another Zelda game is a bit insulting to Aonuma to be honest.
Exactly, speculating is pretty much all we can do at the moment considering the lack of actual info we have to go on, we're in a similar situation with the NX, very little confirmed information so all we can do is speculate. I'm actually expecting Zelda Wii U to have a pretty good story alongside everything else. With all this talk of choosing a male or female link reminds me of the speculation that the character we saw in the trailer was a female. So who knows maybe the character we play as will be female and the member of royalty will be male. (I very much doubt this will happen though)
Nofes wrote:This game is going to put the story behind everything else. Everything we've seen and heard is pointing in that direction.

I'm not sure how you guys aren't seeing that.
What have you seen (from the very little information we have to go on about Zelda Wii U) to give you the impression that the games story will be put behind eveything else?

This might be the news that finally unconfirms those stupid NX rumours.
I think we can all agree that i`m a great asset to the human race.

Probably better suited to post that over on the NX thread, which we have already talked about. Emily is the only trust worthy voice we have atm.

If the map seen during the gameplay demo is anything to go by, this game will feature all of the locations from the previous Hyrule-based Zelda games. On one part of the map is the NES' version of Hyrule, on another part of the map is the bridge from Twilight Princess and the mountain from Ocarina.

Went back to Skyward Sword earlier to try some boss rush mode and remembered it was the controls I never clicked with in Skyward Sword, I know I probably never helped myself by trying to do the slashes too quickly but I just couldn't get on with them (and still can't from the looks of it), for everything else the motion plus works very well. Still, I love the art style they went for though.

So I just spent 90 minutes, 231 attempts, and 1155 Rupees getting the frog lure from the Rollgoal minigame in Twilight Princess.
My voice aches from excessive swearing.
I won't even use the lure.
Ever since joining the original ONM I've been a huge Nintendo fan (specifically Zelda) and am looking forward to some great discussions. I was previously known as Lego Master

I'd like to do that too, but I'm not sure I can justify the price of tickets.

It's pretty incredible, I'd definitely go if you're able to. You'll get to meet other Zelda fans and pick up some sweet merch too. If you're a Zelda fan, it's an experience you won't forget.

I've heard it's ruined by people cheering during music. I'd love to go to one, but that eton mess would ruin it.

It is something that I'd definitely like to experience, even just once as I think it'd be pretty amazing to hear a wide selection of Zelda music, performed live in front of you. My closest venue would be Manchester should I want to attend.

It's not that bad. Last night's crowd was actually less enthusiastic than last year when that happened, people were pretty much silent during the performances.

Zelda will be the focus of E3 2016 and will be released simultaneously on both the Wii U and NX in 2017.

Shame we're going to have to wait a while for it, but it's nice that we actually know when we're getting stuff. I'm very much looking forward to E3 now, though I do wander how the NX version will differ.

I'm glad we're getting to see something at E3 and likely have a name then also.

What I'm disappointed with (but expected) is the delay and the dual platform release. These days I find I only purchase Nintendo Consoles purely for Zelda and to not have an original Zelda game for the Wii U alone is pretty eton mess. I was excited about the dual release of TP but later realised how much of a mistake that was.

The Zelda Wii U news no one really wanted (another delay), they really should be releasing the Wii U version this Christmas and the NX version when the NX launches, not waiting to release both at the same time.

Doesn't make much difference to me as I was always going to play the Wii U version before playing the NX version anyway, after the delays the Wii U version should be as near to perfection as possible regarding glitches etc.

What would be the issue? It benefits more people by having them on both consoles, instead of just NX.

How can you say that without knowing that the NX gimmick is?

It was the same for TP, the Wii version was inferior and as an owner of the Wii version I've always wanted the GC version instead. I guess we were lucky enough to get the Wii U remake.

I wonder how much they are planning to show off at E3. Is this gonna be like a FF XV uncovered event where they go into detail about the game? I actually want to go into this Zelda as fresh as possible personally. It's going to to be difficult restraining myself from watching too much.
