Another thing I'd love is for G/S/C to hit the virtual console as well, been wanting that for a while though.

Gold and Silver confirmed for Virtual Console on 3DS, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon on 3DS, and Pokken Tournament DX on Switch.
Certainly interesting announcements.

Looks like they've moved on from making third versions and are sticking with the 'new story, same world' approach of B+W 2. Not really a huge Pokémon fan so nothing really interested me today, might've brought a new main series Pokémon game on the Switch, but alas that is yet to happen.

I'm actually really happy with the announcements, bit weird there's no Crystal though alongside Gold and Silver. I'll probably finally pick up Pokken on the Switch, was tempted by it on Wii U but never got round to getting it. Ultra Sun/Moon should be good, shame they aren't on 3DS and Switch though.

I never got round to finishing Su/Mo because I honesstly just wasnt feeling it on 3DS. Guess I'll have to end up skipping these as well. Personally excited for Pokken getting a second chance tho.

Didn't watch the Direct, wasn't particularly interested, but have caught up on the news and what has been announced. Quite interested in Pokken on Switch though, missed it first time around on Wii U.

Honestly, I'm tempted to get Pokken again just for Empoleon and Decidueye.

Better get on to finishing Moon, then... I really like it, I just sort of fell out of playing it.

Pokken Tournament DX
I never got around to picking up Pokken on Wii U, so I'll probably get it on Switch.

Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon
I feel like there's not enough information about these games yet, but I honestly couldn't give less of a gooseberry fool about them right now. If these were in HD on the Switch, then I probably wouldn't hesitate to pick one of them up.

Pokemon G/S VC
Cool that they're finally releasing the best Pokemon games on the 3DS, but c'mon, most of us have already moved onto the Switch. At least put these on both systems, because I'd definitely get them on Switch.

I didn't own Pokken on Wii U, so i will probably get it on Switch

Ultra Sun/Moon had better offer some major additions over the previous editions, and they apparently have done so if that tease of the Pikachu caravan thing is any indication. Gold/Silver on the 3DS' eShop is great news for those who want it, but though I bought Yellow - I haven't really played it much. I might be more interested in the second gen games considering they're the ones I least remember [tied with gen 4].
As for Pokken Tournament on Switch, I might find more interest in it on Switch than Wii U, but I highly doubt it.
I expect the Treehouse will have Ultra Sun/Moon on test at some point during the three days.

not getting hype about Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon and not enough information about these games.

After the great job (in my opinion at least) they did with Black & White 2 I'm hopeful Ultra Sun/Moon will be just as good, granted we'll probably get plenty more info at E3.

As for Gold and Silver, it is surprising they aren't currently coming to the Switch as well, but let's not forget that the Switch doesn't have Virtual Console as of yet, so maybe they're waiting to announce them alongside the VC announcement? Suppose E3 would be a good time to announce VC for the Switch.

I don't particularly care about anything from that direct.

Makes me wonder if they are getting the reveal out of the way now so they can focus on something bigger for E3? US/UM is the same game essentially with some extra content. Can't imagine them requiring huge dev resources. I wonder if the main team is working on the Switch game. Probably looking too much into it tho. Realistically I think they're just going to be showing them off more during Treehouse Live lol >_>

While they will be working on a Switch game (I mean I assume they will be, its a perfect fit) I don't see it coming out this year as it'd take sales away from Ultra Sun/Moon and there's another problem that releasing a main line Pokémon game on the Switch would cause, even more demand on already seemingly strained (at least in the US and Japan, not looked into in the UK yet) Switch stock. They may as well wait a year until the Switch has a good install base, good amounts of stock to be found everywhere so people aren't frustrated at the fact they can't find a Switch to play the new Pokémon on.

Switch stock isn't strained by high demand, it's strained because Nintendo are drip feeding the stock out. By the time autumn comes around they'll be everywhere, Nintendo just want it to be "sold out" until they can get some games out.

It's a bog standard tablet, there's no special hardware in it and everyone else can ship millions of the things every month off the same production lines. The only reason there's no stock is because Nintendo wants there to be no stock, since having them laying around on store shelves waiting for the big games/busy season is bad for business.

I just think it caught them off guard just how quickly it sold from the start, they might of had a what if moment and imagined another Wii U style launch. There were articles at the end of May saying that they're increasing production from 10 million in its first year to 18 million, doesn't sound like they're overly content with keeping the console out of stock only for said stock to sell out within hours. I get they wouldn't want stock sat around for a while (like the Wii U), but when it sells out in hours it I'd said they need to take some kind of action.

Either that or they best be stockpiling a lot for later in the year for when Maro Odyssey launches.

They only had 2 Million of them for the entire launch month worldwide. As for catching them off guard how quick it sold out, for reference the PS4 sold a million units in North America on day one, the Xbox One during it's first weekend, the Switch didn't manage that in a month. It's not selling quickly compared to anything released this decade, it's just chronically understocked. Makes for some great PR though.

I hope they roll out more stock as soon as the busy season starts, regardless of whether or not Odyssey launches on time.

Didn't actually realise the PS4 sold just that well, surely it's selling quicker than the Wii U though right? :P

I hope they roll out more stock as well, don't fancy the idea of struggling to get one later in the year when I feel I'm completely done with my Wii U.

Definitely getting one, need to know more details before deciding which, though.

Wonder if they'll switch the Legendaries again like they did with B2/W2?
