Good couple of hours spent on it already this morning, beat the second divine beast and reclaimed the Master Sword. Found the second boss a lot easier than the first which wasn't that hard anyway. Still can't find a Goron whose names ends in "son" though, are they in one of the mines?
There's one in the Southern Mine along the path to Goron City. You have to speak to him at night, though.

I know I've already said this before but the dragons in this game are so damn cool. Going up Lanayru Mountain and helping Naydra was awesome. One of those moments that puts the scale of this game into perspective. Gliding down from the top, flying with the Dragon and seeing it just take over your view is phenomenal. Gave me serious Shadow of the Colossus vibes. Had one moment where I got distracted by a Korok and after panning around to look for the Dragon it came over behind me while I was ridiculously close. Got a Genuine jaw drop for me too lol.

Yeah, I always try to take a screenshot when I happen to spot one of them in the background. Although yesterday I was fighting the Lynel west of Lanayru Mountain and got frozen by Naydra when it happened to pass overhead.

They feel so imposing. Like I always stop in my tracks whenever the music chimes and look around for where they are. You have respect for them. Which is an amazing thing for a video game to accomplish imo. I do kinda wish we could make Armour sets from their scales tho. Would of been awesome.

I got the one in Death Mountain while fighting one. Ended up surviving and it was one of the best moments in the game for me.

First one I saw was Farosh flying over Lake Hylia, and my immediate thought was "Oh god, I'm not going to have to fight that at some point am I?"

Love the music for them as well.

Agreed. The first time I saw one was so cool and I still pause to look at them. That said, I'm slightly disappointed there isn't more to them. Getting shards and stuff is cool and all but it would've been cool to interact more or fight them
like with Naydra but a bit more elaborate maybe?

I'm over 50 hours into the game and have only been to 2 Divine Beasts so far - absolutely loving it. I did just have the tragedy of losing my first horse - Mystery. I accidentally jabbed her with a flamespear into some spikes which were on fire, and sent her tumbling off a bridge.

My new mission is to find the place to revive horses. I've heard about it from travelers.
Ever since joining the original ONM I've been a huge Nintendo fan (specifically Zelda) and am looking forward to some great discussions. I was previously known as Lego Master

So I've restarted the game, with a few self-imposed restrictions: Bow only (no melee weapons of any kind), no powers or paraglider outside of shrines/dungeons, no fast travel.

It's fun so far

I was thinking of doing a no-map use (and thus no fast travel as well) playthrough at some point.

Also just to point out I started the new game on a new user account on the switch so as to not lose my main save.

Something to be aware of!

That actually sounds like a pretty decent way to play it, the no fast travel would make horses much more useful as well. Although I couldn't manage without the paraglider, saves so much time and dying from plummeting t the ground, wouldn't get to see the world from above as much either. Only issue I could see is early in the game when arrows don't seem that common, collected loads at Zora's domain though.

I've just thought of something about no paraglider in a playthrough.
Isn't there a tower in the middle of an endless chasm or something? With no resting spots except near the top?
I suppose playing with an incomplete map would make the game more challenging.

Would a fully upgraded stamina not get you up there

I don't think anything except a paraglider would.

New mini-challenge: Get up that tower without a paraglider.

Pretty sure you could fly up with the flying minecart/magnesis trick, but that's using powers

You could also, with enough patience, fly up using a raft, enough octo balloons and a deku leaf, but that's using a melee weapon

I think with my restrictions there may actually be no way.

Been taking a little break from the game. Haven't played the last couple days >,> It feels weird lol. Plan to take on the 3rd Beast when I jump back in. Will be doing the Gerudo Region last since thats what I'm most excited to visit.

If you want a challenge you could try stasis launching onto the tower. It is using a power but at least it's a little more challenging.

Saying that, I can't remember if there's any trees nearby, might need to find a korok rock.

I was stood on the top of the Lake Hylia tower, looked away from the screen for a bit and went to get some water, only to come back to new music and a view of it flying near the bridge.

It's one of those moments in the game where doing nothing but watching is the most valuable experience.

DLC Pack 1 Revealed
Whilst I'm more excited for the new story content in pack 2, this definitely looks like some nice stuff.

Actually sounds pretty good :) Definitely the Korok mask! Personally I'm still going to wait till I get it on the Switch later in the year before buying the DLC though, don't fancy buying the game and the DLC each twice.

Sounds good enough to get me to buy the expansion on its release as opposed to waiting for DLC pack 2.

Trial of the Sword sounds like fun with starting equipmentless.
