The costumes look sweet, especially the phantom armour. The only question now is if the travel medallion isn't just a one-off.

EDIT: So I'm pretty sure we can use it as much as we like, just once at any location. Not sure how I'll intend on using it though, as there tends to be a shrine and/or tech lab nearby every town and stable anyway.

Seems like you're getting a pretty decent amount of extra stuff in there, but I'm gonna wait till to see whats in the second dlc pack or get the eventual goty edition.

The Hero's path mode sounds like a nice addition. That would actually give me an extra incentive to play the game again once I've beaten it.

The Korok mask will be useful as well.

Please let us change the colour of Tingles outfit cuz' I wanna run around with it in all Orange >,>

Loads of great stuff from the sounds of it. I might hold off trying to collect all seeds now thanks to the Mask too. Very, very intrigued with these new armour that are going to be hidden around Hyrule. I love how we have to go out of our way to even obtain these DLC items too. It's not simply handed to you which is cool. Kinda like the Souls games.

Liking the sound of the trial of the sword stuff. Reminds me of the stranded island trial but an entire dungeon of it.

This satisfies me.

Now contemplating whether I should take a permanent break from this game until this DLC drops. Or maybe I could just finish off the main story to get it over and done with and come back to properly complete stuff after DLC comes out, hmmm.

I've just realised I've done 100 shrines. Not sure how to feel about that...

I've done like 112 shrines now I think, with a few shrine quests left to do. No idea where to start looking for the last few. Sort of beginning to hit that point where I'm getting bored of wandering around and not finding what I'm looking for. Like, I keep finding Korok seeds everywhere I go (cause there's an absurd amount of them) and some unfound bosses, so it's keeping my spirits up to keep playing, but I don't want to be at the point of only needing to find those damn seeds just yet.

So I finally finished Breath of the Wild. Had the usual slightly underwhelming Zelda ending, but I loved the game. Not sure where it sits in my favourite Zelda games list, though.

Just about finished the Divine Beast Naboris, just got the boss left to beat. Definitely my least favourite divine beast out of the 3 I've done so far.

Edit, done the third beast now, exploring the Gerudo Highlands now, I take it for the Thunderhelm quest you need to do all the sidequests associated with Gerudo city?

You assume correctly

I like the sidequests around gerudo town, especially the one involving watermelons

I think Gerudo Town and the divine beast associated with it is the best section of the game. So much to do and it
has great rewards too. Meanwhile you have the Ruto eton mess that ends pretty much as soon as it starts.

I find the desert kind of boring to explore, partly because I can't use a horse and didn't use the sand seals much for fear of breaking all my shields.

I really enjoyed the long approach to Zora's domain up Zora's river, and one of my favourite quests is probably following the message in the bottle back down the river.

That little quest, like most of the non-shrine related ones, aren't that engaging for me personally but I agree that the desert is kinda bland to explore. My favourite region is either Akkala or Tabantha.

But you don't take any shield damage on sand? It's the same with snow.

That makes sense but I did not know it

I just assumed the Hylian Shield was pretty tough to get me through the race challenges

It is extremely tough. It can break, but you can replace it for a cool 3000 rupees. Not gonna tell you where though.

Well we'll see if I get through all the DLC with it when I go back, I might not ever need to replace it.

Already met Grante anyway

I've sorted out all the Divine Beasts, I've found the last memory, I'm now procrastinating so I don't have to finish. Right now I'm walking through Tanagar Canyon. And trying to find the last 7 shrines.

There are a few really annoying ones in the desert, and a really really REALLY eton mess environmental puzzle for a Kass one in the mountains east of it.

Shrine hunting is balls annoying.

Which one is this?

For the last dozen shrines I had to find after exploring everywhere myself I just looked up a map of shrine locations and marked my map in game in the same locations. This worked well because I still didn't actually know where the shrine was hidden or exactly where it was, I just skipped out the presumably boring and long process of back and forthing across the map hoping to detect one.

Also because some shrines don't actually get detected because they are hidden underground and need to be revealed, so I would have spent forever not finding them.

I've decided to do this. Wandering aimlessly around the world waiting for the sensor to go off isn't that fun anymore.
