I think it's £50, though that's still quite a lot for an upgraded old game. Having it on the go is a great plus though.
Ever since joining the original ONM I've been a huge Nintendo fan (specifically Zelda) and am looking forward to some great discussions. I was previously known as Lego Master

I know I'd have a blast on Bob-omb Blast, especially since Double Dash's battle mode was strictly multiplayer.
Shine Runners from Double Dash would be great to have as well.

I will be buying it but I am not really that happy about it being the same game again, I would have liked for them to have made Mario Kart 9,

it'll be useful and I'll most likely get it purely to play it on the go with people seems like a fun way to spend a long train journey or spend a lunch break or whatever.

Does anybody rate the DLC highly for MK8?

Yes its worth it but if you plan on getting a switch then its included with Mario kart 8 deluxe, so you could wait and get that

The DLC is pretty good. Is alright value for money. Way better than Smash Wii U/3DS in that respect. Not that big of a Mario Kart fan but I was reasonably impressed by it.

New trailer and info drop.

It's good to see the battle mode in action, as well as the new battle courses. Renegade Roundup looks absolutely great as a new mode, and its great to see so many returning battle modes as well.

I got a email from the Nintendo shop today
Dear Richard Bates,

Thank you for your recent pre-order of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe through our Official Store.

We are delighted to tell you that your order has been upgraded to include a free Feather Mug and a free Boo Mug in addition to the game.
Its good apart from the fact that I have not ordered it from them!

MK8 Deluxe looking crispy clean. I can't wait to see what it looks like on Switch Screen too.
I am the reason, the answer and the problem.

Just watched a video showing how the Fire Hopping technique is now gone. Never mastered it myself, don't really have much of an opinion on the matter

Doin' a little bump for this thread in prep for all the Deluxe talk.

I got my game on Wednesday but have still yet to play it. Been a little distracted and have been taking a short break from playing much games for the past few days. That said, if anyone is up for some races tomorrow, I'm more than happy to hop on!

Got this downloaded as soon as it was available. The download only took half an hour, but I was so distracted by Sonic 2 [why did I have to fail on Wing Fortress? Why!] I completely forgot about it until after one.
So What do I do but head straight on it for an hour. It looks absolutely silky smooth, and the graphics are lush even in handheld mode. I do have to say that it seems as though the handling has been tweaked and speed is a bit faster, but still the same great gameplay.
Also, Battle Mode is just as awesome as I thought it would be.
Bring on an entire day playing! ... Nearly.

Can you switch between items? Like in double dash
If so how?

Im currently sitting on the fence a little, I have 8 and all the DlC for it on the Wii U and played it a heck of a lot, add to that im still plugging away at Zelda then loads of other bits on my Vita, xbox one etc and im worried after a few quick goes it will sit on the shelf.

Definitely getting it at some point, just probably not for a little while.

Glad to hear Battle Mode is decent, though.
PM me if you decide to add me on 3DS or Wii U

New battle modes are super fun, expect for that Bomb-omb one. Just wasn't feeling it. Shine Theif and Renegade Roundup have awesome potential. Really loved what I played of them so far.

Also I thought playing separate Joy-Cons would suck but it really doesn't feel all that bad. Shoulder Buttons can be a little iffy to press. I completely forgot about the straps tho, forgot where I put them >,>
