I think the problem with Bob-omb Blast is it doesn't have the zanyness that Double Dash gave it. It felt like real chaos at times in Double Dash, with tight arenas to fight in. With Deluxe, wide open spaces for the most part.

Yeah, it's my least favourite atm.

As for the joycons, they do feel a lil awkward in the hand so i may have to go for a pro controller finally if i want proper multiplayer.

One of the most insane endings I have ever seen in an MK race, good freakin lord. Watch from 12:20. I should warn of explicit language too >,>

Why I love this track. Cuz' it's almost always be all end all during that last leg.
I am the reason, the answer and the problem.

Managed to finish my task of 3 starring 150 and 200 today, just need to mop up mirror and then its time trial time. Didn't really play 200 on the Wii u but it's jolly good fun, more of a play the course deal as the AI doesn't seem so good at it and only bother you through red and blue shells, but if you mess up on the track a couple of times they rip you a new one.

I got it at the weekend and I have to say MK8 has gone from my least favourite MK game to probably my second favourite just behind DS. They've done a really good job here, I love it.

Interesting that you're opinion can change so much considering it's basically the same game, unless battle mode is what you are basing it on?

If you want to experience true MK hell, then try racing online in a room full of players with 3K/4K+ points. It's not even the same game at that point. Holy freakin' heck. It wasn't this bad before because of the single Item restriction. Now we get to bank on 2 it has made things more hectic >,>

Still fun tho. Even if I barely made progress in building up points. Think I lost more lol.

I've only been online once, and yeah. That was hectic even at 1000 points. There was also Nintendo Life's Battle Mode tourney which was good fun [missed out on the racing], as everyone was at roughly the same level.
In terms of cups, I've completed all of 150cc 3 stars, and all 200cc 3 stars. Going through mirror mode, and then it's onto 10,000 coins and all the staff ghosts.
I'm still maining Toad, though my main combination has changed to maximise acceleration at five. However, I still use standard everything in battle mode.

Something about the online is so addicting. The adrenaline rush from some of those races can be insane. Not sure I'll ever get round to single player stuff lol.

Those two races were not indicative of my usual performance

By the fourth race tonight where I was immediately hit twice in a row from the off I decided to stop playing

I believe it says that when the game is full, when me and my brother were trying to race we kept encountering that as well.

Struggling to gain much more than 2500-2750 online at the moment, everytime i win 20 points i then go down 5 or 4 the next couple of rounders.

Loving it though!

I'm around that area too. If you aren't quick on your tires and lucky with items you just get chewed the heck up. You also need to mix up how you race, because almost everyone will be taking specific routes you probably have learned too. Just creates a cluster mess of Karts and Bikes just colliding into each other at points.

Very tempted to get this. I've been playing Zelda for 2 months now so another game to take a break would probably be a good idea.
Ever since joining the original ONM I've been a huge Nintendo fan (specifically Zelda) and am looking forward to some great discussions. I was previously known as Lego Master

Random unlocks feel super out dated now. I hope for the next game there is some kind of shop that lets you just buy parts with your collected coins. Would make it more satisfying saving up for a certain part you want. Also I really want to see more personalised customisation. Stuff like being able to change colours and adding patterns. I never cared for Stickers but imagine if you could use them for decals to slap onto your vehicles.

MK 9 is probably a while away yet tho lol.

Caved in and got it - the core game is as strong as ever and Battle Mode is a lot of fun. Also like some smaller changes, like HD Rumble which I'd completely forgotten about playing Zelda. Being able to play it out at a rehearsals for a play (in which I'm only in the first and last scene's) was very nice too.

Seeing that Mii run into an online Lobby would be pretty funny.

Speaking of, hit past 3K points lasts night. Let's how long I last there >,> Also, I realised Star Rankings aren't a thing anymore which is a shame. MK DS and Wii were the only games I bothered to 3 Star everything since It gave you something to show off with online.

Only at least 1 star in 150cc and 200cc is relevant I think, to unlock some of the gold car parts.

Pretty sure it's - at least one star all mirror for Gold Kart, at least one star star all 200cc for Gold Mario, all 150cc time trial staff data beaten for Gold Wheels, and 10,000 coins for gold glider.

Doesn't feel the same to me tho >,> Plus that means you have to be committed to using those gold parts if you want to show off you even got the star ranking. Are they even any good? I exclusively use Bikes now so the Gold Kart is pointless for me. But if the wheels have good stats, I might try and aim for that.

Update on my venture online: God freakin' dammit I'm already losing my points lol. This is unreal. The 4K/5K+ rooms are mental. Almost takes the joy out of playing sometimes.
