Finally been playing the DLC today, and I must say, the new tracks are fantastic. Love Big Blue and Animal Crossing. Super Bell Subway is also as enjoyable as I expected it to be, if not more. Not keen on Wild Woods, but it does look nice. As for the retro tracks, the only one I'm not keen on is Cheese Land.

The P-Wing is also now more or less my default choice for body. Still yet to try out the new characters though.

Anybody else feel like MK8 is out to get you sometimes? I've just attempted both the new cups on 150cc and the item distribution was very lenient to the AI, triple green shells and bananas in first while I was getting coins or single bananas in third. It seems fine most of the time but the times above annoy me.

Also I hate Cheese Land

I decided to try 200cc on mute city. I'd rather not go that fast ever again.

Tried out the Zelda DLC on 200cc earlier since I got the pack off Club Nintendo the other night. Mute City is insane, whilst Dragon Driftway is just impossible. God knows how the CPUs manage it so easily, I had maxed handling and I still ended up slamming into half the walls whilst they just zipped through the corners without even slowing.

You should really know by now that Mario Kart CPUs are always going to be good at higher-speed cups. Just think of how many times the computer has gooseberry fool you over in 150cc.

Woah, I only just noticed looking at that screenshot that the Villager racing suit is really an 'Animal Crossing' racing suit, and both Villager and Isabelle are in the little image for it. I guess this confirms more Animal Crossing amiibo? Unless the Animal Crossing cards also grant you access to this bonus.

Or just potentially hint to an AC:Wii U game?

Can someone clear up for me whether or not you have to use the Classic range Bowser amiibo to unlock his racing suit, or does the Smash version work too?
PM me if you decide to add me on 3DS or Wii U

I'm assuming both would work, since it's still the same chip inside the figure.

that confused me and quite a few other people when they posted pics of only the classic range Bowser and not the ssb bowser even though they did with Mario, Yoshi, Peach etc but like DarkRula they should contain the same chip so work and are read in exactly the same way

I used the Smash Bowser for my racing suit but any Bowser amiibo will do as they console will be able to recognise the characters from the internal chips. Its only the figure that's in a different pose and the chips inside are all coded the same.

Ah, okay. Good. I just don't want to have to get two amiibos of the same character if I can avoid it, especially as I prefer the Smash Bowser figure.

So... if Nintendo wants to keep doing DLC packs for Mario Kart 8, does that mean we'll eventually have the entire F-Zero course set as tracks? Or maybe they're just going for the more iconic ones.
Also, I'll be uploading it some time soon, but I think I might have just nailed the award for closest finish while blasted with a blue shell.

Maybe if enough people like them Nintendo will finally be convinced to make a new F-Zero game.

Yeah. Maybe. Or maybe they already have an F-Zero game to show us. Who knows?

Closest finish with a blue shell blast, me with three frames.

That was absolutely close between me and Metal Mario as well.

I downloaded all the MK8 DLC only played two cups so far, but its awesome - nice to breathe some new life into what's already a great game.

I love the excitebike and animal crossing tracks. They change each time you play it. Animal crossing is a different season each time and excitebike has different ramp heights etc, apparently there's like 200 different subtle variations.
