Here we go
Off the rails
Don’t you know it’s time to raise our sails
It’s freedom like you never knew

Don’t look back
On the past
Say a word I’ll be there in a flash
You can say my hat is off to you

Oh we can zoom all the way to the moon
In this great wide wacky world
Jump with me grab coins with me
Oh yeahhhhh

It’s time to jump up in the air
Jump up don’t be scared
Jump up and your cares will soar away

And if the dark clouds start to swirl
Don’t fear, don’t shed a tear cause
I’ll be your 1-up girl

So let’s all jump up super high
High up in the sky
This whole town will look back and sing

You know that you’re my super star
No one else can take me this far
I’m pushing the switch
Get ready for this, ohhhhhhh
Let’s do the odyssey

Odyssey, ya see
Odyssey, ya see
Odyssey, ya see
Odyssey, ya see

Odyssey, ya see
Odyssey, ya see
Odyssey, ya see
Odyssey, Odyssey

Spin the wheel
Take a chance
Every journey starts a new romance
A new world’s calling out to you

Take a turn
Off the path
On a new addition to the cast
You know that any captain needs a crew

Take any star that you’ll move side to side
They’re just different points of view
Jump with me grab coins with me
Oh yeahhhhhhhh

Come on and jump up in the air
Jump without a care
Jump up ‘cause you know that I’ll be there

And if you find you’re short on joy
Don’t fret, just don’t forget that
You’re still our 1-up boy

So go and straighten out your cap
Let your toes begin to tap
This rhythm is a power shoe

Don’t worry you’re the super star
No one else can make it this far
Put a comb through that stache
Now you’ve got panache
Let’s do the odyssey

It’s time to jump up in the air
Jump up don’t be scared
Jump up and your cares will soar away

And if the dark clouds start to swirl
Don’t fear, don’t shed a tear cause
I’ll be your 1-up girl

Now listen all you boys and girls
All around the world
Don’t be afraid to get up and move

You know that we’re all super stars
We’re the ones who made it this far
Put a smile on that face
There’s no time to waste
Oh, let’s do the odyssey

Or if you order straight from Nintendo themselves. I'm gonna order from ShopTo for £42.85 which is great. Surprised Switch games are going as cheap as they are, but I'm not complaining!

Absolutely loving how the game looks and plays, I was worried that Nintendo might have nowhere else to go with the series after Galaxy, and for years that worry seemed to be the case since they were playing it incredibly safe with games like SM3DL, SM3DW, NSMB2 and NSMBU but the huge world exploring, taking control of things with your hat and the overall art design seems like a return to form.

Whilst that song is pretty terrifying, everything else about the game looks immense. Pat on the back to the person who decided to throw away the idea of Mario's suits and replace it with bodyswaps. 8-) and

The song is really catchy, just as well I really like it as well. Found myself listening to the 30 min extended version on YouTube on a few occasions already.

Should be a great game to be exploring in, that's for sure. And Odyssey: The Song is one of the best things about E3 that I'll remember this year.

Trying to stay clear of too many spoilers, but I have the feeling this game is going to be huge which is why we're seeing a lot of the early stuff already.
I am the reason, the answer and the problem.

Golden Joysticks voting is open, and is it bad to say I've voted this Ultimate Game of the Year?

It was a tough choice between the two, but I'd already voted Zelda for a few other things, so felt like giving Mario at least one vote.

I think I will. It looks great, has great things said about it, and I've loved everything I've seen about it. I'm pretty certain to make me do a 180 on it, it'll have to regress so much that it's basically the original Mario Bros.

What's so bad about it? Seems like one of the most Nintendo-ish things they've done and fits the Switch feel well.

When does the the voting close? Only if it's before release then really this game shouldn't be on there at all - personally I feel it's bad enough for vote for something that's only just been released let alone beforehand - that's asking for trouble.

Still, I am pretty pumped for this game - I got to play it at EGX a couple of weeks ago and I was super impressed. The open-ended ness of the quests feels very much in the same vein of Zelda BOTW - Moon's can be found in each hub worlds like star/shines before them, but are also hidden away like Korok seeds and vary in rarity and type. This makes each world feel super compressed with goodies to find and explore and means that missions can be tackled and stumbled upon however you want whenever you want.

I think of the Demo The Frozen Desert world was my favourite to play of the two - not that there's anything wrong with New Donk City of course. Aesthetically I feel like suddenly Nintendo stumbled across Sonic Adventure 1 - only haven't executed the feel of the landscape quite as well. Personally I'm not keen on how small this world feels - for a city level I expected to be able to climb around and explore ALL of this great big city, and instead what we have is a village sized landscape located... in the sky? I think? That you can see the rest of huge city below and into the distance peeves me off. I wish Nintendo could have at least masked this a little bit better than make it feel like a planet location from Super Mario Galaxy hanging just in midair.

The only other thing I'm a little concerned about was precision platforming - something about the control of Mario was a little bit lighter than I expected. There where a good 3-4 occasions where I died deaths on pretty simple jumps that never quite landed where I thought they would, it's almost as if the camera perspective or the way Mario leaps masks your actual landing aim and you miss the mark by a wee bit when you feel you cleared an edge easily - I wasn't the only person to have this exact same problem either.

Still, it's nothing really to worry about and more likely just some quirks to the handling that you need to get used too - this isn't 64/Sunshine/Galaxy after all, even if it is finally is a welcome return to fully 3D worlds.

Oh, and I just <3 that advert. Good call Nintendo.
