The original Splatoon was a major surprise for me because it was a game that when it was announced did not interest me at all, I thought I would give it as go and I absolutely loved it and was one of my favorite Wii U games,
The Splatoon 2 global testfire demo is on the eshop now, I downloaded it a few days ago (the switch seems to download things really quickly) the dates and times it will be playable are
Friday 24th March
19:00 - 19:59 GMT
Saturday 25th March
03:00 - 03:59 GMT
11:00 - 11:59 GMT
19:00 - 19:59 GMT
Sunday 26th March
04:00 - 04:59 BST
12:00 - 12:59 BST

Certainly going to be the Switch game of the Summer and will be a vital title for the Christmas period.
Downloaded the surprising small download, looking forward to trying it at the weekend, just wish it was for the whole weekend and not for said hour slots.

I enjoyed Splatoon but never really got into it so wasn't sure if I would get the sequel, but damn this testfire is tempting me. Splat Duelies were incredibly fun, and there's no feeling quite like splatting the entire rest of the team using the jetpack. I'll play some more today.
Ever since joining the original ONM I've been a huge Nintendo fan (specifically Zelda) and am looking forward to some great discussions. I was previously known as Lego Master

Very true
Usually I'm better at covering turf than I am killing opponents, but the Jetpack brings out homicidal tendencies.

The missiles are a fantastic anti charger measure. It feels like specials this time around are going to be much more useful in combating certain things.
Still miss my paintbrush.

I'll definitely be getting Splatoon 2 when I get a Switch, I'll really have to play the online side more this time though after playing little of the first one online but I suppose there's still time to jump back on, doubt the lobbies are anywhere near dead.

Testfire has made me realise how rubbish the Switch WiFi is. I can't play it upstairs at all. Unfortunately that means I probably won't be getting Splatoon 2, since I'm keeping the Switch upstairs and only ever playing Splatoon downstairs in handheld would be a pain. Quite disappointed as the testfire was fun and I'm liking the new additions.

Finally got online after fully powering off my console, only had time for two full games and one interrupted by a connection error, but I enjoyed it. The Splat Dualies seem pretty cool, even though my game was interrupted. And while I like the new specials I'm going to miss the Killer Wail and Inkzooka.
Jumping with B will take a little getting used to. I kept accidentally opening the map instead. Also, with motion controls on it felt like you could only aim left and right with the right stick, no up or down. Anyone else feel that?
PM me if you decide to add me on 3DS or Wii U

Played at 11, used the dual pistols. Won 6/6 games then the matchmaking froze so I stopped playing. Was very fun B)
Turned off motion controls immediately, just like the original game. Can't be dealing with having to recentre all the time etc. The game is also crying out for a mini-map, pressing x to view the map which covers the screen is super unwieldy.
Specials seem quite counterable and avoidable now
this is the sole reason i've been sticking with a charger for most of the testfire

Yeah I've found this too - Switch will rarely connect in the games loft whereas the Wii U was fine 95% of the time. Hope it's something they can fix in an update or something. I still might be tempted to get it though as I found playing it using the grip and the stand was great.

It's been forever since I played splatoon and I couldn't tell you if that was the controls in the first game, but I kept doing the same
Maybe it's just zelda getting to me

No, X was jump in the first game. I'm not overly sure why they've changed it.

I believe the reason they gave for changing it was to keep the jump button as the one closest to the analogue stick.
