Yeah, that's Master Mummy's ability. If you ever play a 1v1v1 or a 1v1v1v1 with one, you'll probably see them staying out of the action healing themselves up.

I don't actually own the game, but the hits not registering issue happened to me at least 3 times in the test punch.
Ever since joining the original ONM I've been a huge Nintendo fan (specifically Zelda) and am looking forward to some great discussions. I was previously known as Lego Master

Have played a fair few Party mode games online with my cousin and haven't encountered any connection issues yet myself. I got an ethernet adapter a while back tho, so if things do get wonky I can just opt for that.
I am the reason, the answer and the problem.

Had a few days off and seemed to do a lot better today for it. Up to rank 7 now online. Although i do reallyyyy hate that stage with the flying discs that you're meant to get on!!

However it is often still incredibly frustrating. Some opponents still seem completely unbeatable, i don't have a clue how they can charge their fire/ice arms up so quickly.

Saying that though, there is very little more satisfying than beating an opponent 2-1 after they win the first match and you learn how to counter them.

Got round to beating Level 4 Grand Prix. Lord all lordy, Ninjara was insanely frustrating. His grab game is OP >,> I kinda get why tho, since we need to beat this level to be able to play Ranked online. It's prepping you for it lol.

Beaten level 7 with Master Mummy, Helix and Mechanica now, getting better at predicting the AIs moves now. Ninjara is a liverpool tart though thanks to super fast grabs after parry dodge.

I really need to utilise Twintelle's time slowing abilities more. I'm still using it for evading rather than reading and countering. No way I'm going into Ranked yet if I'm struggling in Level 5 of Gran Prix either lol. Still a lot to learn.

The game has been out for a little while now, and there have been a few tournaments that have happened. But I was wondering if people are still playing it, or if you've dropped off completely? Obviously Splatoon 2 has come out, so I reckon a lot of people's focus has shifted to that. Personally, I still play occasionally but not that often. Whenever I do drop in though, I'm still having fun

Usually jumping on for a few quick matches on Versus, or take in a Grand Prix or two. Sometimes do the 1 vs 100 [even though I've failed with everyone but Byte and Barq]. Still fun as a game to jump in and out of, but I'm happier with games that are more open in actions.

In answer to the question posed by the thread title, the honest answer is 'no' at the moment. I'm having to unlearn a lot of fighting game behaviour and come up with useful strategies at the same time, and I'm not sure I have the patience any more. I will definitely persevere, though.
Yeah, I can understand that. It definitely takes some adjustment, and it's probably a good thing I haven't really played many fighters before then! What controls are you using?
Oh, it has been a while since I was on here! Apologies for that. I was using my Pro Controller. In the just-over-a-month since I made that post, I've beaten the game on GP4 with Ribbon Girl and am a bit happier with it now. It's an ambitious game and I'm keen to see what else they'll come up with for extra content... but I'm almost certain to trade it in for Super Mario Odyssey when the time comes.

Hit Rank 10 last night. Things are about to get a bit more spicy from here on out. I'm determined to be the highest ranking Twintelle. So far have only met one other Twintelle player that really challenged and beat me. Yes I'm still feeling the salt >,>

I conquered every GP level a while back too. Remember I was complaining about Ninjara, but I eat those fools up now pretty much. Only frustrating when Ninjara players camp like their life depends on it.

Nice, was worried people had dropped off from playing. I've switched from Kid Cobra to Spring Man, as I like his movement options along the ground.

Also, would anyone be interested in a little tournament? Even if its only a little round robin format as there aren't many of us, would be fun to try.

I'll keep an eye on if it happens, but I'd be interested to experience how others play.
After all, so far I've been pretty much destroyed in Party Mode of all places.

Re: ARMS - Tournament Time!

Nice, I've set up a Round Robin tournament with us 4 then. If there's a time that we can all make to play then we can do them all back to back, but otherwise just play each other when you can.

The short list of rules I have are:
  • All arms allowed
  • Items off
  • Timer on 99 Seconds
  • No Snake Park
  • Best of 3 Rounds a Set
  • Best of 3 Sets a Match
Can't think of anything else to add.

I also created a Challonge for it too, just so it's clearer. First matches according to it are H.Kazuhira vs Darkrula and GuitarHero vs swarf but it doesn't particularly matter what order everyone plays in.

We can wait a bit if you want, like I say there's no rush, just not sure who else has the game here and still playing. I'll be around after 9 myself
