My copy has arrived today, though unfortunately I have a deadline soon so I may have to postpone it for a while

Just beat the first case last night. It's certainly got much of the charm and whimsy of any game in the previous trilogies.

Finished it earlier today, definitely enjoyed it on the whole. That said, I feel like the Millionaire's Conspiracy was only really brought up right at the end, so didn't have much impact. Likewise with the reveal that Ernest is actually Miles... I didn't see coming, but only really because there was no hint at all that something like that was the case. It wasn't referenced in any case (to my knowledge) before the last one, so it didn't have much impact.

However, I think its a good basis for what I assume they will try to make another trilogy out of. Hopefully the next game will be on a Nintendo System, either the Switch or the 3DS.

Been playing through it and I'm currently on the third case and it's not bad. The plot isn't really up to much but the characters are so charming it does make up for it, I do miss Layton but Kat is a decent substitute.

Just a quick question looking through my puzzle list, I noticed I've missed some puzzles is there a place all the missing puzzles go like in the original games?

not in the 3ds version but if you go back to completed cases it’ll show you how many puzzles and hint coins you’re missing from rach area

Yeah and I believe some puzzles will only unlock after beating a case, so you're encouraged to return afterwards.
