FIFA

Anyone else bought FIFA on the switch? Think it plays a pretty decent game but the presentation is definitely a step back from the PS4.

I'll definitely be getting it at some point, the last FIFA game I bought was 2013 for the Wii U so I guess regardless of how far this is behind the PS4/Xbox One versions in some ways it'll still be a good upgrade for myself.

Obviously graphically its not the same as the other versions (although I guess its a bit better than the legacy editions?) but that doesn't really bother me that much, if I wanted graphics I'd just buy it for the PS4. I'd prefer to support it on the Switch, as long as Manager Career is good I'll be set as that's the only mode I really play seriously.

Looks pretty good so far, although it's essentially the Legacy editions (PS3/Xbox 360) with improved graphics (although the player models are probably on par with FIFA 13 on the Wii U. I haven't played many matches yet but it sort of reminds me of the BT Sport app when you watch the matches on a phone screen if you choose to sim a CPU vs CPU match. Gameplay wise it's still FIFA and feels pretty solid, I've yet to try out multiplayer or online though and I'm curious with the single Joy-Con mode.

I get FIFA every single year, I have had FIFA 18 on the Xbox One since Tuesday and I love it, the switch version looks good but I wanted all the various modes there is, I would however buy the Switch version as well if I could access my Xbox FUT team on the Switch, I may end up getting it on the Switch anyway just because its portable

Swithc version has a bit of an odd glitch according to many people on Twitter. I haven't encountered this glitch yet so I'll post someone else's screenshot.

Yes I've got it on both switch and ps4. Only got ps version for my son, and guess which one he plays more. The stuff missing from the switch, is the stuff I would never have bothered playing anyway. It's a good game. Scanderlous that you can't invite friends for a game, but other than that it's fifa, looks good and plays well

Really tempted to get this sooner rather than later, Gameseek are doing a promotion next week (celebrating 15 years of trading or similar) whereby you can get it for around £39. Considering it probably won't go cheaper than that in the near future I might pick it up if they have any copies in stock.

one thing I hope they change next year if they do one for the switch is the ability to use all your subs in the pre season friendlies like you've been able to do on the ps4 for the last couple of seasons. Not bothered about the graphics getting better as long as they make the career mode exactly the same as the ps4 off field.

I'm gonna get it later this week for the Switch. I've always liked the FIFA games, even though I've only got 3 of them right now (FIFA 04 (GCN), 09 (Wii) and 17 (PC)).

The offer on GameSeek doesn't seem to want to work for me :( Just keeps saying the code has already been redeemed, looks like I'll be waiting a bit longer then, no worries as I still have a few games still to play.

Started my career mode in this game. Picked Swindon of course, something I wanted to do was take a team from League Two all the way up and it seemed like a good thing to do.

Here's the starting lineup:

Image

I've tried to focus on signing Free Agents, but missed out on all the young ones early on and ended up recruiting only one player that I could sell for a massive profit later on. Gone well so far although the team has lost two matches so far, they're already very strong for a League Two side.

Squad so far:

1 GK Lawrence Vigoroux - 66
2 DF Ben Purkiss - 63
3 DF Chris Hussey - 65 (on loan from Sheffield United)
4 DF Matt Preston - 68
5 DF Chris Robertson - 63
6 DF Oliver Lancashire - 63
7 FW Paul Mullin - 56
8 MF James Dunne - 64
9 FW Jasse Tuominen - 61
10 MF Elias Abouchabaka - 63 (on loan from RB Leipzig)
11 MF Marcelinho - 66
13 FW Daniel Bode - 69
14 MF Ciprian Ioan Deac - 68
15 DF Luis Abram - 64
16 MF Amine Linganzi - 64
17 FW Harry Smith - 58
18 MF Donal McDermott - 65
19 MF Timi Max Elsnik - 58 (on loan from Derby)
20 FW Kellan Gordon - 56 (on loan from Derby)
21 GK Reice Charles-Cook - 59
22 FW Kaiyne Wooerly - 60
24 DF Kyle Knoyle - 59
25 DF Dion Conroy - 57
28 DF Diego Bejarno - 66
30 FW Keshi Anderson - 67 (on loan from Crystal Palace)
31 MF Matt Taylor - 67

Daniel Bode has been the best signing so far, currently my top scorer. He's a free agent in-game so I would recommend him for any lower league career mode for an early reliable goalscorer if you're poor.

I'll probably finally get around to buying this when I've finished my run of Gold, currently just grinding a bit for the Elite 4. I did have a chance to play the PS4 version of FIFA earlier today, was actually pretty impressed with how it played and I'll be interested to see how much of a downgrade the Switch version is in terms of physics, however it apparantly being a faster paced game vs the PS4/Xbox One versions isn't a bad thing in my opinion, at times the PS4 version felt really slow during play.

I've got it. I know no better because it's a game I never normally play... which means I'm quite bad at it, too. It's been decided that I should play Semi Pro difficulty level, and I've only ever managed one goal in a game so far. Last weekend my brother had a game, and won 5-0.
