Apparently GAME almost started selling the second wave today. My Mum was in and wanted to buy Little Mac for me but they had to take them off display cause they're not out till the 15th...

So Nintendo don't seem to be sure if they are discontinuing some Amiibo or not, good news for everyone if they aren't as it will stop the massive inflation seen on the Amiibo that were rumoured to be discontinued (I'm looking at you Villager!).

As each day passes by I can say with certainly that I will end up buying nearly all of these. Only wanted 3 amiibo's from wave one, I have 4 and I now want Mario, Peach, Link, Yoshi and Kirby. Never had a game before where I've been so desperate to just pump money into it like some sort of stupid person.

Yup I'm the same. I only planned to grab Fox but I now have 6 total with 5 pre-ordered in wave 2, 4 in wave 3, 5 in wave 4.

For those looking for villager, Amazon, Nintendo Store & Game had them online yesterday but disappeared quick, you'll have to stalk those sites for stock.

Got myself a Samus amiibo today. They level up really fast. Dunno if this is a production error but my Samus leans to the left slightly. Not that bothered about it though. I'm more excited for when I get a Marth amiibo for Christmas.

Just got a Killager for £10 to go with my Marth, also £10

HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE

Also, a tip for amiibo trainers, training them in 1v1 no items is better than 8 player no items and is better than having a lvl 50 amiibo training another amiibo with no items. I tested! 1v1 is best, 8 player is second best and lv50 train is worst.

This is the best guide I've seen to training amiibos so far: http://moargeek.com/2014/12/02/smash-br ... -fighters/

Personally I do my own little spin on it.

Yes you can. Within data management your amiibo has a saved data you can delete.

Nintendo store uk were quick I just received all my wave 2 preorders.

Any way to open the amiibo without completely obliterating the packaging?

Hobby knife, or similar and cut from the bottom and up through the sides carefully (not the top section though). You'll be able to fold the plastic over and get the amiibo out with the box still in tact and store the amiibo back if you wish.

Got Fox today, but haven't taken him out of the box yet. I think he's going to look great next to Marth though.

Speaking of Marth he's available here and has been most the day (albeit a little higher than rrp):

I'm expecting a game to focus on Amiibos like a Nintendo take on Disney Infinity. I do hope they'll implement them in Zelda U.

I'm really hoping Nintendo re-stock the original wave before they discontinue them for good. I really want Villager but I point blank refuse to pay the ridiculous price some retailers are asking for it, I'm also gutted that I never pre-ordered him before he was released as I wouldn't have these problems now.

But there could be a glimmer of hope; I was searching round the internet last night and managed to place a reservation with Argos for him as their website said they'll have him in stock on Friday. The reservation said "available Thursday 18 December - Friday 19 December" for collection but on the off chance I'm popping over both nights. I thought I'd reserve a backup this evening at a different store but he's back to being totally sold out.

I'm really hoping I won't be disappointed.
