The "Recommend Me A Game" Thread.

Post by Emperix » Fri Nov 07, 2014 10:59 pm

Seen a game you like but not sure about it? Can't decide between this or that? Should you really get that new release?

Let eveyone help you with their recommendations.

Good to see you around, Emperix.

I'm considering getting Kirby's Epic Yarn for just under £7. I have a large backlog of PC games and while console games get priority I'm probably not going to get around to completing this game any time soon if it doesn't wow me off the bat. Might not even bother playing it through ever. Should I get it? I'm fairly fond of platformers but I'm not sure.

Kirby's Epic Yarn is an enjoyable game, but bear in mind it is very easy, even by Kirby standards. There is no way to die. The challenge (if any) comes from finding the collectables in each level. If you want a simple, relaxing ride, I'd say go for it.

Kirby's epic yarn is awesome. Looks great with the yarn effects, and while it does have that "Nintendo Kiddy" feel to it, it's still a really fun platformer especially with all the different things Kirby can transform into now he's made of Yarn. I picked it up for just under £7 from Argos earlier in the year, assuming that's where you are getting it from too? Well worth the money :).

KEY is endlessly charming and the levels are all a joy to explore and interact with, it really is worth £7.

Fantasy life is pretty awesome. Lots of reading to do, but loads of variety and a huge story length!

I'm thinking about downloading Shovelknight from the 3DS eshop. Does it play anything like the DS Castlevania games? I really enjoyed those.

I've been playing a lot of Xenoblade lately and I've absolutely fallen in love with it; the story and the music outclass anything from any other game I've played and the combat system is pretty interesting. If anyone has even a passing interest, go for it! The Wii version's kinda rare - thus, expensive as heck - but it's so worth it. If, however, you want to protect your wallet, then I'd recommend waiting for the 3DS rerelease.

I'd recommend either Bayonetta 2 or Hyrule Warriors as they are both fantastic titles that are worth picking up.

Watch Dogs? ...meh not so much, as it could be a botched port of what's already been out, but it's your call.

Hyrule Warriors is amazing and you should buy it. If you're a Zelda fan you'll absolutely love it.

Can't speak for the other two as I haven't played them, but from what I've heard Bayonetta 2 is pretty good and Watchdogs isn't so good.

Hyrule Warriors will take an age to complete 100% so if you want replay value go for that

Bayo 2 spec ed will get you the first game thrown in, so the 12 plus hours almost doubles.

My experience of the game is 12 hours is bloody good going with it! if you are new to the game then not on your nelly!

OR or AS?

Leaning towards Omega Ruby, but IDK.

I like OS' mirage spot Pokemon but prefer Latias and Zekrom.

But then again I prefer the colour red. ARRRGH!

Is Bravely Default worth getting? I've heard mixed reviews about it...

I've actually heard lots of positive reviews about Bravely Default; it's been praised as a traditional JRPG that manages to still be welcoming to newcomers.

Team Aqua was reason enough for me to get AS. Plus if you have a friend (or some nice folks on the forums) you can get all the legendaries anyway.

If you are a very story minded RPG fan, then yes. If you are not that into digging deep for story, you may not enjoy the later parts of the game. But I`d still highly recommend it
I think we can all agree that i`m a great asset to the human race.
