Tapu Lele GX - £42.

I spent that much on a single trading card.

I feel dirty.

I looked that card up and it was all double dutch to me. no idea what materials or anything like that actually are.

its been roughly 14 years since I played YGO competitively though so unsurprising the game has moved on a little!

At least singles for Weiss never quite reach that level unless you're going for higher rarities (shoutouts to Love Live SPs going for up to like 100 quid if you want the actual good cards)

On that note didn't really mention either but
A couple of months ago ~£150 building my Bang Dream! deck for EN (it did alright at Glasgow Regionals waow)
Also over the past month or two in about 3 different orders bought up the last cards I needed for my Love Live Sunshine JP deck (which was about £150 as well thanks to missing some of the #value cards (probably about 180/190 with shipping)

Yeah. I mean this is the best card in the game and it'll be playable in tier 1 decks for about 18 more months so I see it as money well spent. I've got 3 now and that's the sweet spot number. the secret rare print (there's regular, which I got, then full art and secret as the most expensive and hardest to hit) reaches 80 to 100 but I think 40 is already pushing it tbh. Unfortunately the price is just going to increase because the set it's from will be harder to find as time goes on etc, whereas at least now I won't have to worry about getting more. :)

Don't talk to me about increasing price tbh.

One deck I wanted to invest in since the set released (we're talking back in January-ish) I never got around to bc money reasons.

Now it turns out I was ahead of the curve and jumping on what is now arguably the top deck and it's gone from being about £110 to make to like 300/400

I stayed quite late playing all the classics I did know. I've never played Link to the Past so I think I'm in for a treat myself there

Bunch more Pokemon singles and sleeves.

Image

These were £13 and they're glossy so I probably won't ever play them, but I couldn't resist buying them anyway.

Also more Dragon Shield Mattes for £7, which are by far and away the best shuffling sleeves money can buy.

Then some useful cards like Tapu Koko promo, Flareon AOR, Vaporeon AOR, Salazzle GX, Kiawe etc. very exciting.

Double sleeve with transparent ones tbh, as far as I know that isn't disallowed in pokemon.

I double sleeve inner KMC perfects + outer dragon shield anyway, but I'd rather play cards that shuffle well than cards which look nice.
