I know, but it's such a rip off, £11.30 fare, £10+ cinema ticket, £10 for lunch. I mean hell, for £25 i can travel into central london.

I agree, it's Star Wars!

Being serious though (well slightly) there's just something about Star Wars on the big screen that makes it that little bit more special, like the Millennium Falcon scene in The Force Awakens, yes it'd have been amazing seeing it for the first time on your TV at home but in the cinema that scene was incredible!

I know everyone has different opinions on what's good value for money etc but I'd happily pay £20 (suppose I could skip lunch out..... Or get something cheaper from a supermarket) to go and see Star Wars at the cinema, but that's just me

This very well may cause hell here, but the fact its Star Wars is enough for me to not go.

I stand up and declare that I cannot stand Star Wars at all. Never have.

If the cinema is a Vue, you can get £4 tickets on Monday nights (which after booking fee are about £4.70). Take food/drink with you and that's £16 all in

It's an Odeon i'm afraid, though the last time i went to a Vue, the place was virtually devoid of staff, the film started 90 minutes late and for 20 of those, the audience were just left staring at a blank screen.

I'm not sure if it's just me but I really don't get most of the 3D effects they seem to put in, in The Force Awakens the two that stood out were the laser bolt on Jaku and the embers/snow near the end, most of the others were either very subtle or lost on me. Don't get me wrong I'll probably watch it in 3D as well as its a good excuse to go and see it again

I am the same, its never appealed enough for me to watch any of the films, it just looks like something I wouldn't enjoy it but plenty of people seem to really love it

I plan on seeing it at the IMAX theatre in Stratford on the 23rd. I'm never a day one guy when it comes to films, usually venture out on the second weekend.

My local Everyman cinema is classy as heck, but to see Star Wars in IMAX is too good an opportunity for me to miss.

After really enjoying Your Name also, i found myself looking at the anime shelf, trouble is, i simply don't know which ones are any good as all i know these days from that genre is Ghibli and those Mamoru Hosoda movies.

Ghibli and those Mamoru Hosoda movies.
That's a very good place to start.
There's plenty of other great anime films out there.
Ghost in the Shell (1995) (and sequels)
Akira
Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade
Paprika
The Garden of Words
5 Centimetres Per Second

The list goes on.
