Fun thing from my ballot paper. 3 of the addresses for the candidates were on the same road. The 4th, the Conservative, was in London.

The exit poll is predicting a hung parliament!

This is amazing, on those numbers, the "coalition of chaos" is larger than the Tories.
Now, I reckon that the Tories will end up with a majority, but it's going to be slim, it's not going to be the landslide she was hoping for.

And if the exit polls are correct, the SNP would be the only party big enough to give them a comfortable majority.
Labour looks to be in a strong enough position to win the next election easily, maybe even with comrade Corbyn, he's obviously not as eton mess as I thought, if he pulls this off, I'll happily eat my words, Corbyn isn't as bad as I thought.

I've had a gut feeling for the past couple of days that we could very easily see another hung parliament, seems like that may turn out to be right. Would the SNP actually join up with the Tories though? Didn't they say no to such in the past (I recall they've been asked and responded with no).

With my shamefully poor knowledge of politics (really should do something about changing that someday) I'd say Corbyn has certainly had the better campaign, I feel like May has kind of shot herself in the foot a little, not wanting to take part in any debates to try and better people's opinion of the Tories. Seems like Labour may take a decent amount of seats away from the Tories.

No, SNP wouldn't side with the Tories, they've already said they'd be open to possibly lending support to Labour. Of course no party would ever say they're open to a coalition before an election, it's suicide to do so, but depending on how the numbers end up it is possible.

Hung parliament, Tories have completely gooseberry fool up. UKIP destroyed, SNP heavily diminished but still strong, Lib Dems more of a thing than they were (not hard) and, all in all, Labour in a much stronger position than before despite the adversity and infighting prior to the campaign.

Honestly, a hung parliament is a eton mess but I vastly prefer it to a Conservative win. May needs to resign and Labour, I feel, needs to work towards embracing where they are now to capitalise on the energy behind things. Whether that means with Corbyn or not I don't know right now but I don't but if they maintain their current footing it seems like they'd have a strong advantage going forward into any possible elections to resolve the hung parliament.

I'm gonna be laughing for weeks. What a colossal cock up by Theresa May, she'll go down in history as the PM to lose the unlosable election. If our lord and saviour JC can keep up the momentum we're in for a very interesting future. I'm very glad to see the number of Labour MPs admitting they were wrong about JC's ability to lead the party through the election and run a great campaign.

SNP clearly needs to shift focus to their other policies now, having the independence referendum at the forefront lost them a good many of these seats. Their other policies aren't even bad so this should be a solid wake up call.

Looks like the Tories' only chance is the DUP and if I were the DUP I would be telling them to get bent having seen what happened to the Lib Dems last time.

Think the DUP said they'd support them in votes but not form a coalition, but of course that's up for attempting now. As a make or break part of the government though, they're very against the hard Brexit the Tories have been pushing as well as other policies so it'll be interesting.

I think it's pretty much safe to say that a hard Brexit is completely dead in the water. Between Tory backbenchers not playing ball and the opposition, pushing for that just isn't going to work.

Well what a giant F-up from May, she won't be able to show a strong leadership in Europe with with much fewer MPs, seems like a "Hard Brexit" will be hard to fight for.

I would like to thank all the Corbyn supports, many of whom are students who have bravery campaigned and have succeeded in destroying the Labour party and guaranteeing a Conservative government for the foreseeable future,

You would have thought after Ed Miliband things could not get any worse but remarkably it has, after a first leadership election when the party could of had by Labour standards a good party leader you elect Jeremy Corbyn and then once the damage is done all they could come up with to go against Corbyn was Owen Smith so either way it was all over for Labour at that point, but today Corbyn was reelected and with that the final nail in the coffin was hammered in, I wonder if Ed still has that stupid tomb stone thing he had made to go with it

ive been waiting for this.
