Some interesting logic here. You MUST want free movement else you are racist or xenophobic. By that logic, you MUST be a terrorist sympathiser if you don't want more control over the countries boarders, as free movement allows terrorists to enter the country.

It's funny when people turn into the people they're accusing others of being. They end up being bigoted, intolerant and even racist towards white people. They even turn on eachother.

Some Remainers and Labour voters like to think that they have the moral high-ground, as they are supposedly more peaceful and tolerant then everyone else. But in the end, they are no more, if not less peaceful and tolerant then anyone else. They are more aggressive and they don't want others to voice their opinion. They end up more fascist then the people they call fascist and this is why they're losing influence.

Only people with literally zero critical faculties think that wanting controlled immigration makes you xenophobic/racist.

So it's to be expected from SONM.

As for Corbyn, tbh I accept I was wrong about him; it's quite remarkable what he has achieved.

Tbh I'm basically a Tory in refuge at this point and I'm fed up of waiting for my party to re-find its sensible moderate identity that has been lost ever since May called the election. Despite him being a mad socialist Corbyn seems to actually, in practice, be advocating a lot more moderate policies than he may personally believe.

This is how it used to be on the old ONM forums in the early days, extreme left wingers taking over debates and using disproportionate levels of aggression and bigotry on anyone who disagreed.

There are of course, idiots on all sides of the political spectrum, but over the years i have noticed that there is something about the far left in particular which does seem really rather sinister.

itt: people using the far left boogeyman presented by a pair of shitposts and the longpost of a man who thinks he is an administrator in a friendship group to go on a mad one and incoherently rant

please stop, these types of threads were better when people responded to points, so let's set an example!

As soon as Corbyn actually opened his mouth it turned out he was quite good at being a leader and I too had to accept I was wrong. I'm still mad that it took him 2+ years to actually speak words outside of the labour insider sphere and even still I would hope he would hit back a bit more at points tabloids are throwing at him as that gets picked up by other politicians as ammo.

Sure momentum are a bunch of wankers but in comparison to people like Murdoch (sacked an entire publication to get him and his cronies off the hook) and some senior tories (IDS, May et al.) who're really the sinister ones comes clear night and day.

response is actually futile though in this thread, because everyone on here loves pretending to be the smartest and so people are set in their views. at this point in time to be describing corbyn as useless or ineffective isn't just ignorant, it's willfully ignorant.

unless you live under a literal rock, it should be pretty clear that describing the "extreme left" as being somehow fascist or such is a gross misrepresentation of leftist politics. people spouting nonsense like "racist towards white people", when we are all adults with access to a plethora of political resources, is stubborn and ignorant. i'm all for educating people who want to learn, but for people in their 20s and 30s who are so set in being scared of the loony left that they refuse to even make the effort to understand any of the issues they reel out endless platitudes about, i think it's fair to say that no reasoned argument is going to make a difference.

if you're going to try and look clever by suggesting the left isn't tolerant, there's no use in discourse. that kind of talk was all well and good when we were teenage babbies, but looking at leftist anger in a vacuum to somehow one-up those damn corbynites is ridiculous.

tl;dr state a mindless position get a mindless response

Getting genuinely curious now. Just what happened in Liechtenstein?

Though this also highlights just how much May jumped the gun going to the palace. Took over 2 weeks to actually get a deal to make her government not a piece of tissue paper and just regular paper.

Yeah I'm actually getting worried for Richard's wellbeing now, has he just dropped off the face of the earth? Has he started a new life with his pal in Liechtenstein or could he not face a world without a Conservative majority and done himself in?

At what point do we get the police involved?
