As always, TV Tropes is here to explain everything

But yeah I think you definitely weren't paying much attention if you were rooting for the psychopathic, egocentric, serial killing rapist. Even if his backstory makes him a bit more sympathetic he is at the end of the day a monstrous human being.

New series of Doctor Who has been rather enjoyable so far.

Aside from that, was watching Shout Factory's Kakuranger stream that was on this evening. They streamed the first 8 episodes.

I discovered the fact that all three seasons of Jem and the Holograms are on Netflix recently, so I've been binging that. So cheesy but so good.

Finished Stranger Things earlier, was v good but as I was expecting it was a little bit overhyped. Like yeah the kid actors were all great, story was good, general aesthetic was great, but for whatever reason it just didn't seem to all click together for me. The story threads seemed a bit too disparate, the three sets of characters kind of just did their own thing and even at the end they didn't have that much crossover - the teens attacking the monster didn't do anything to kill it, it just ran off to eat all the MPs and the younger kids, and Hop and Joyce hearing Johnathan in the Upside Down almost seemed like an afterthought to tie it together more but without any explanation or impact on the narrative other than "oooooh creepy". I dunno, it just kind of felt like three separate really good stories rather than a single exceptional one. Eleven dying was a good twist but lost a lot of impact in that you just know that's not going to be permanent.
Not to say I haven't massively enjoyed it, just I found it flawed in places and kind of a victim of its own hype train in that I (maybe unreasonably) expected a lot more from it than it delivered. Really looking forward to next season though since the main plot thread seems to be Will gradually turning into a new monster which is just the sort of dark s.hit I love.

Think the next thing on my to-watch list is Series of Unfortunate Events which I'm looking forward to. Also started watching Colony and really enjoying it but haven't made it that far through because I'm watching it with my flatmate and she keeps laming out on me to do less important stuff like work and having a social life ugh

Finished watching first season of True Detective last night. Really enjoyed it, great mystery and characters. I've heard season 2 is not as good, but to anyone who has seen it is it worth watching?

Watched Go 8-bit just now. They had Crash Team Racing on there and the race was pretty intense.

I would say season two is worth watching but just take it as a completely different show. forget everything about the first season and enjoy it for what it is and you'll have a good time. if you expect more of the same from season 1 then you will be disappointed.

Ah nice. Will try and check it out.

That is, of course, after the brilliant, amazing, intriguing yet slightly-weirder-than-usual (so far at least) Fargo Season 3!

Watched a whole series where Sean Bean was a vicar and that was fully awesome.

Watching In the Dark which is v gritty and full of substance.

Some great dark TV about these days.

Cant wait for the 100 to start again too.

Broken was fantastic. Won't lie, it had me in tears at a few points as it really just got to me.

Fargo Season 3 has finished. It was good and I still liked it, but not as good as previous two series.

Now I need to finish off F is for Family before Rick and Morty is arrives

I binge watched the whole of The Mist. It had potential, but by the end of it I was quite disappointed

Recently got back into Archer and loving it. I'm about halfway through series 5. Just had the one where they're all stuck in the lift, it was brilliant!
