The only films I've seen this year are Mad Max and Jurassic World. I normally see more. However, out of the two I'd have to say Mad Max was my favourite. I'd even consider Mad Max to be one of the best films I've ever seen.

Kingsman is brilliant. There are some minor flaws but overall it's definitely one of the best things to have come out of 2015. Matthew Vaughn is a national treasure.
Bit of a Tory though, which makes him a bit of a dick considering the medium he works in...

No no no no, everything beyond the thunderdome in Beyond Thunderdome is a bit crap. Up till then it's fantastic, and the Thunderdome fight is one of the best.
Yes, I would agree with you there. But I think Tina Turner was an incredibly strange casting choice and the saxophone over the opening credits is cringey.

Not seen many films this year, so in no particular order.

- Spectre
- Jurassic World
- Avengeres Age of Ultron

I reckon Star Wars will easily be there once it's out (and I've seen it).

Can't really make my official list until I've seen Star Wars, Creed, The Hateful Eight and The Revenant (last three all come out in January but they're technically still 2015 movies).

So far though my list is probably:

1. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl
2. The Martian
3. Ex Machina
4. It Follows
5. Mad Max Fury Road
6. Sicario
7. Dope
8. Kingsman The Secret Service
9. The Gift
10. Inside Out

Honourable Mention: Beasts of No Nation

Anyone who puts Jurassic World in their top 5 should be ashamed of themselves and needs to watch more movies.

I would say the same thing about Kingsman, but hey ho, opinions and all that.

Totally forgot about The Martian though, so I'd add that to my list. Would also add Age of Ultron to the list as well, but it wasn't amazing, just another good Marvel film.

Have yet to see Bridge of Spies, Black Mass, Star Wars and Hateful Eight, but I'm sure they will also go on the list

Jurassic World was great fun.

On the flip side, i didn't really like EX Machina that much, found it a little dull to be honest.

Hmmm, Inside Out followed by Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Martian, SPECTRE, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Jurassic World.

Add Bridge of Spies to all of your lists. Just come back from seeing it and it's so good!

Hey now, hey now. We're all movie bigots here. Personally I wouldn't put Avengers or The Martian within 200 miles of my list. But that's just my opin-...

I found the characterisation really weak in The Martian, but it was a fairly enjoyable and beautifully shot film even if I wouldn't call it anything near my film of the year.

Nah to be honest I was being a bit tongue in cheek. Jurassic World was okay but I've had absolutely no desire to watch it again after seeing it once. Maybe I'll enjoy it more on a second viewing but it just seemed like the absolute bare minimum needed to get people somewhat excited about a JP movie again.

yeah the characters were weak in the martian but I enjoyed it because it was something different. I can look past the bad character development as I think it was very well shot, and some really great plot twists, drama, and jokes to be honest, the setting was awesome and the plot was solid.

It's my best film of this year by far as all I've actually seen is Spectre, Mockingjay part 2 (lmao it tried), and some other films that don't really deserve a mention (although knock knock was a great laugh tbf just because of how eton mess it was.)

next year is gonna be great purely due to deadpool and gamera.

Deadpool looks a little suspect to me. Really don't think it's going to be too great.

Mad Max: Fury Road - 7/10
Chappie - 7/10
Avengers: Age of Ultron - 7/10

I didn't realise how little I'd seen from this year, but hey ho I have a list. Didn't catch Mad Max (v sorry, I'll get around to it) and I'll be seeing Force Awakens on Wednesday, but here's where I'm at so far.

Kingsman: The Secret Service - 6/10
It was fun and mostly enjoyable, but the lead wasn't the sort of character I appreciate watching, and considering how dumb the film is in terms of ideology, I didn't really have the capacity to switch off to the extent the film needed me to.

Inside Out - 8/10
Thinking about it, it's pretty messy plot wise, but ultimately it's such a charming film and another example of Pixar returning to form.

Spy - 7/10
Trainwreck - 6/10
Both pretty funny and entirely watchable, although not particularly groundbreaking in any way.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 - 6/10
I hate the last book entirely, but find the films fare much better. Nothing to write home about, but it is at least somewhat an exciting watch.

The Lobster - 9/10
Watched this the other day and I love it so so much. No-one has mentioned it so far, but basically, an overweight Colin Firth plays a man in a near-future dystopia where singles are sent to a hotel (Managed by Olivia Colman, because of course it is) to find a partner in 45 days, or they're turned into an animal of their choice. It's eton mess insane, strangely funny, and genuinely compelling- I'd seriously recommend it.

The Martian - 7/10
I said my piece on this earlier so pfft go read that.

SO;
1. The Lobster
2. Inside Out
3. Spy
4. The Martian
5. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2
6. Trainwreck
7. Kingsman: The Secret Service

Long story short, go watch The Lobster.
