The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
No idea why there isn't a thread for this. Also no comic/game spoilers please, this thread is for the TV series only.
So yeah I'm really enjoying series 5 so far. The Beth episode was a little slow but I thought this week's episode was great. I really like Abraham and Eugene as characters so it was cool to get an episode that focused on them.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
I finished series 2 yesterday. I enjoyed the show after the first series but now I feel fully invested. I like the way the characters, Rick in particular, have developed.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
Yes yes yes there's a thread woo~
I'm up to date for the first time ever (usually have to wait almost a year or whatever for it to be on channel 5 because I don't trust sites I haven't heard of that shove popups in your face every time you click on something but ty based youtube), I actually liked the Beth episode (4) slightly more than 5, felt it was a little bit slow in parts; admittedly, both were really but new characters and all that.
Was nice to see some building on the backstories of Abraham and Eugene though, also that plot twist. 3:

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
I can't believe there wasn't a thread for TWD already, it's one of the few programmes I look forward to starting again. All upto date now I have just watched episode 5 of series 5, I'm really pleased with this series so far, not a slightky disappointing episode so far, what I've found with previous series is they have loads of great episodes on each week, then when they show a good episode you're left ever so slightly let down, a good episode of TWD is still far superior to most of the other stuff on TV though.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
Woo, Walking Dead thread! Been pleasantly surprised with S5 so far, in all honesty. It's certainly made up for the second half of S4 which was dragging its feet for far too long. But yep, we've had a solid start and I'm glad we're finally learning more about the characters introduced last season.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
Really weird TV show. Each series is way too long, has way too much filler in them and the characters aren't developed enough for you to care when they inevitably kill them. Also, their is literally no plot; no endgame, no long running arc. Pointless TV at this point.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
Agree with pretty much you everything said there. The first two seasons were actually pretty great, but it's all gone downhill from there, no doubt about it. I feel the same could be said about the second series of the game; it was near impossible to connect with the new characters, and the plot just wasn't going anywhere. Still, I get some enjoyment out of watching the show with my mum. Aside from soaps, it's the only thing she watches and she thinks the world of it, bless

But season 2 was the worst season.

Yeah, I'm not being funny...I'm all for personal taste but Season 2 may very well be the worst TV ever made.

That's a remarkably huge over exaggeration. I really didn't think it was that bad- I still enjoyed it. It's still the worst season but really now, get a grip.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
S2 wasn't great but it still had some of the best episodes of the series, like that one where Rick takes Shane out for a little chat. Part where Beth is found was also kwl.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
I love all the series of TWD, for most improved season from TV (where it's one a week) to home release has to be series 2, I actually really enjoy it when I can watch an episode one after the other and thought S2 benefited most from this kind of viewing.

Wat
Season 2 was really good. Especially that episode with the barn shootout at the end.

This scene (series 3 spoiler) seemed a tad...odd. Liking the series a lot so far, though.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
I like what they've done with in terms of adapting it, so many of the same events from the comics happen, but often to different people, and in different order. So you still don't know exactly what's going to happen because you're ahead with the comics, but you occasionally get that moment of 'oh, I see what's happening here' when a plotline from the comic starts to play out in an altered form. Also kind of impressed that they included some events from the comics at all, thought they'd shy away from some of it.
In terms of the latest episodes,.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
Absolutely love TWD - avoided this thread until now as I am catching up with the new series as and when I come home (to parents) as mum watches it and records it for me to watch. Caught up now with the UK showing (episode 6 of season 5), and really liking this season. Last season was quite slow, with the entire season being a build up to Terminus, but now lots is happening and I'm really enjoying it.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
you're lucky you have someone else who likes it, my mother in particular hates this program with passion, she hates it so much its just calmer to record it and watch it when she's not around.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
Haha, yeah I started watching it when I was living back at home last year and the entire first couple of seasons were available on demand on sky - my mum got home from work as I was starting the second episode and was hooked from that.

Re: The Walking Dead TV Series Thread *SPOILERS*
No thread because it's a terrible TV show with no endgame, keeps going in circles, terrible acting, no threat from the dead at all, no characters with any sort of development besides the main 'safe' protagonist of Rick Grimes.
The show runs like a video game, and in fact, the Telltale game is superior by an absolute mile, the first series is genuine quality.
