Judge Dredd: The Mega Collection

Post by RJ Badman » Sat Feb 07, 2015 1:05 am

Has anybody bought issue one of this? It covers the famous and much-acclaimed America saga.

I've always wanted to get into the Judge Dredd mythos but, like with most comics, I have struggled to find a jumping-on point, so I'm very happy with this; the mission statement is basically that they're picking the best stories and publishing them in such a way that newcomers are well-introduced to the world and characters. The graphic novels are thick, too (The first one covers four different multi-issue stories), and hardback - well worth the £9.99 each in my opinion. (The first issue is £1.99, the second £6.99 I think)

I'm about three quarters of the way through the first issue, the America saga, and it's really deep, intelligent and hard-hitting, and a great commentary on fascism in the real world. Looking forward to the next issue next week. :)
