Black Panther is looking good, but if Chadwick gooseberry fool up the african accent like Will Smith did in concussion, I'm going to break his vocal chords.
I think we can all agree that i`m a great asset to the human race.

"That big airport fight is also, reportedly, as awesome as the trailers made it look, so, there’s that."

the big airport fight was the least awesome looking part, it looked real silly

glad that it takes note that batman v superman got lots of positive spin before release too, and while i expect this is gonna fare a lot better, it still looks more like another boring avengers movie than a captain america movie

I won't see Civil War tbqh

The event it's based on was bad, but at least it involved characters I care about
This movie has like 10 characters in it, hardly a war imho

Eh, it's not like Ultron was around for an age, is it?

I was about to say Civil War sounds better than Internal Bickering but I would actually still watch that film.

Hes never been talented tbh, 10 eton mess comics for every decent one. I think hes been on a particularly eton mess streak since 2010 with avengers, avx, x-men, age of ultron, ultimate end

I rly dont know why people keep buying his comics when ewing does that same bantery ensemble cast thing 100x better

I just don't bother with comics at all anymore. Every time I consider trying to get back into Marvel's comics I hear about something that really annoys me and drives me off again. DC aren't much better, and I only give them that much credit because I can't remember them doing as many annoying things as Marvel have, although I'm sure they have.

I essentially tend to enjoy the characters and ideas more than what the writers actually do with them.

Yeah his recent output has been painfully bad, I only ask because I recall enjoying Ultimate Spider-Man at least until I stopped reading it
I read the leaked Civil War II issue 0 and it was atrociously bad, so I wondered where it all went downhill

Yeah, only existing to cash in on the new movie, based around the morals of arresting people before they've committed crimes
Iron Man, Captain Falcon and Whor all say it's wrong but Carol, Steve and Peter says it's right
She-Hulk (who, despite being a lawyer, is apparently against due process) and War Machine die

Bendis says the leaked issue isn't correct because it supposedly hasn't been lettered yet, but any idiot off the street can tell how bad it is no matter his poor writing

Seems to me like Iron Man and Steve are on the wrong sides, unless Steve is the latest character to be majorly derailed. Sounds a bit like Iron Man's not evil anymore too (if I understood the aftermath of the Axis event correctly). Anyway it sounds terrible.

Does anyone even care about comic characters being killed off anymore? Unless the deaths are stupid or are done for stupid reasons, I mean.

In other news, The Punisher season 2 was pretty great and Jon Bernthal gave a really solid performance, probably gets a bit too soft at times but for a more realistic character it works. To be honest for a lot of the parts I was more interested in Frank's story than Matt's and it's really interesting seeing them ramp up the amount of blood and murder with Frank and Elektra. Overall, the story wasn't as interesting as season 1, by no means bad but s1 spent a lot of time gradually building up its story and spending a lot of time on it, s2 has two separate threads and while harmless they're just not as developed.

I am more than pleased with Civil War. it gave every one the right amount of time on screen, set up some plots very well, and all the action scenes were well done.

Now.

BLACK PANTHER WAS SUBLIME! HIS ACCENT WAS PERFECT (gooseberry fool WILL SMITH AND CONCUSSION), HE WAS AMAZING IN EVERY SCENE HE WAS IN, AND HE WAS DIFFERENT FROM EVERYONE ELSE. HE DIDN'T DO
QUIPS OR JOKES. HE WENT FOR HIS GOAL, AND WAS ABSOLUTELY RELENTLESS.THE LAST SCENE IN WAKANDA WAS SO EPIC, AND IT GOT ME MORE HYPED FOR THE BLACK PANTHER MOVIE THAN I ALREADY WAS. I LEGITIMATELY HAVE A HEADACHE FROM HOW MUCH I LOVED THIS.

Spiderman was great too.

Went to see Civil War on Saturday and it was definitely enjoyable. The action and set pieces are top-notch but I don't feel like the story is as succinct as Winter Soldier, although it is aiming for something much bigger. All the important characters have clear motivations, which is nice to see after watching BvS. Even the very minor appearances of Ant-Man and Spider-Man - while completely throwaway - provide the funniest parts of the film. I actually felt really uncomfortable watching the final fight between Iron Man, Cap and Bucky. The final hits that Cap does on Tony before smashing his chest were really impactful, although I do think the fact that Tony didn't die was a bit of a cop out. The way they play the scene out really makes you wonder if he actually might die, but he doesn't (of course). It's definitely not the best MCU film and probably not even better than The Winter Soldier, but it's definitely high up there in the rankings.

Thoughts:

> It was a better Avengers movie than Age of Ultron.
> It still had the self-masturbatory humour.
> I'm not convinced new Spiderman is going to be a good Peter Parker which was the reason I loved Tobey Maguire so much.
> Black Panther was cool as gooseberry fool though admittedly.
> Really looking forward to him and Andy Serkis battling it out.
> Good addition to the MCU. But nothing that hasn't been seen already.

To be honest, I'm delighted with the new Spider-Man because he's finally a scrawny kid. Peter Parker shouldn't be an adult when introduced (sorry Tobey Maguire) or a 20-something actor trying to look like a scrawny kid (sorry Andrew Garfield - I do wish he's had more of a chance, actually). He's also got the proper motormouth from the comics. I'm very happy with that aspect of the film.
