SSA-Juniors Press Release
"First of all, we'd like to apologise for our delayed arrival to Catalunya, but the car had to undergo some last minute changes and optimisation. Still, it's here now, and it looks a lot better than last year's effort. We also have two new exciting drivers. Max Verstappen, such a force last term, has transferred over to our program. Hopefully he can be as impressive here as he was with the Pepsi Rob team last season. Pascal Wehrlein also promises much, moving up from being a test driver and we look forward to seeing what he can do in his debut season.

"The guys from Mugen have agreed to transfer their full attention to our junior division. It's no secret that they struggled a little last season, especially with Jenson's car, but hopefully they can make amends and provide a much better engine to the juniors this year. With this more mature Juniors team, we hope to take a good step forward and start challenging for points more often."

A-Grade Press Release
-------------------------

This is the best pre-season testing form we've had for ages, very encouraging so far, hopefully Vettel's 3rd stint at the team will as successful as his first. Obviously though you can't read too much into pre-season testing, we are particularly wary of DFR and Rawr as well as the current champions Pepsi Rob.

EDIT: I also like how SSA Juniors are the richest team on the grid.

[MIDORI Racing Press Release]
__________________________________________________________
Hello everyone. Nice to meet you. We are MIDORI. We are pleased with our initial testing run, with Fernando Alonso putting in a respectable 119 laps in the MR-001A. Naturally, we are running at a low engine capacity while we test the car's reliability, so our present times do not reflect on our ultimate pace. We do believe that future testing runs will reveal a dramatic increase in final speed. Please be patient with us!

Stable Racing F1 team press release

After a solid first day of testing yesterday we are hoping to make real progress tomorrow as both of our drivers should be in action barring any reliability issues. Jenson had a good day yesterday completing 84 laps with little issue. We are hoping the rest of our test goes without issue.

SSA Group Press Release
"Took two days to get our cars out on track but from the early signs it seems to have been worth the wait. Glad to have mostly trouble free running once we were out and it's good to be top of the timesheets, even if that doesn't mean much at this stage.

"The Juniors have also made a great start, and we hope their success continues into the main season."

Stable Racing F1 Team press release

We had a solid 4th day of testing, Kevin was even able to put in a race simulation, Kevin enjoyed the car so much that he refused to pit and as a result ran out of fuel at the end of the day. We eagerly await the second (and last) pre season test to see if we can assess our true pace against our competitors.

SSA-Systems Press Release
A great day for all the SSA drivers. The super-softs proved to be quite handy, shooting Raikkonen up to the top of the time sheets with a brilliant lap. We've also completed a huge amount of laps today, with Kimi doing 136 and Nico providing another 137. The new Aston Martin-AMG powerplant is being incredibly reliable so far, a great job by the engine guys there.

Max Verstappen over at the Juniors put in a mammoth 159 laps, showing that the Mugen guys have seemingly solved their reliability problems from last year. Wehrlein also put in a respectable 48 laps, he's settled into F1 driving nicely and is finding the limits of the car at the moment. We are hopeful that this year we can mount a considerable challenge to the established elite.

Kimi also tested the new "halo" protective system today, however we can't get any opinion from him other than "it's OK". You'll have to wait until someone else tests the device to find out anything else, I fear.

Maniacal Mercedes Press Release
--------------------------------------

Here at Maniacal Mercedes, we are extremely pleased with our progress in the course of testing, and our results on the final day of testing were truly exceptional. We are pleased to have 2 drivers who are clearly capable of challenging for race wins, and are confident of a successful return to the world of F1, having taken a couple of years out.

Fantasy F1: Team by Team Preview!

Pepsi Rob Mercedes

Image

Team Owner: Robbie
Drivers: Daniel Ricciardo & Marcus Ericsson

After dominating 2015, the Pepsi Rob team are back to defend their title with one of the sleekest looking cars on the grid. However, with Lewis Hamilton having departed from the team, winning back to back titles could well be something of a pipe dream for them. That said though, there is still a chance of the odd podium and even maybe a win if everything falls into place at the right moment, just don't expect them to be up there at the top of the points table come the end of the season.

Rawr Mugen

Image

Team Owner: Rawrgna
Drivers: Lewis Hamilton & Rio Haryanto

After a very successful 2015 in which they finished 2nd in the standings, Rawr are looking to go one better and to do that, they have successfully lured Lewis Hamilton away from the Pepsi Rob team. This has ensured they are without doubt, the title favourites, though in winter testing they never really showed just how strong the new car is. Once we get to Melbourne though, it's highly likely that there will be a bright orange car sat at the front of the grid.

Stable Alfa Romeo

Image

Team Owner: Robbo-92
Drivers: Kevin Magnussen & Jenson Button

The Stable team have proved themselves to be a stable outfit during these past 12 months, and as a result, have 3 excellent race wins to show for it. However, with Vettel now driving elsewhere, 2016 is looking to be something of an uphill battle, especially since both drivers have really struggled for pace during the winter test sessions. This therefore, could well be what is often described as a 'character building' season for them.

DFR Mercedes

Image

Team Owner: D.J
Drivers: Nico Rosberg & Esteban Gutierrez

After a disappointing 2015 campaign which saw them slip to 4th in the standings, the DFR team decided to go for a more radical route this season. Out goes Valtteri Bottas after 3 years, and in comes Nico Rosberg along with a major technical partnership with Mercedes Benz. Consequently, after many years of unfulfilled promise, this could well be the best chance they've had of securing that elusive first title.

A-Grade Honda

Image

Team Owner: Ape
Drivers: Sebastian Vettel & Felipe Nasr

Having spent a number of seasons in the doldrums, A-Grade fought back hard last year to secure themselves 5th in the standings. This has given the team a new lease of life and with the return of Sebastian Vettel (who helped them win their first championship title a few years back), the only way is up.

SSA Aston Martin

Image

Team Owner: Spilskinanka
Drivers: Kimi Raikkonen & Nico Hulkenberg

The SSA team have once again produced a beautiful car this season, but with Kimi Raikkonen as their lead driver, success may be more difficult to come by judging from his performances over the last couple of years. That said though, if he's in the right mood, Kimi can still be quick, and i'm sure this team will still be able to spring a few surprises during the season ahead.

Toyboata Man Utd

Image

Team Owner: phalanx
Drivers: Felipe Massa & Romain Grosjean

The Toyboata team in recent years have become the Fantasy F1 equivalent of Minardi. The car is often slow, the drivers suffer appalling luck, yet despite all the troubles they face, this team just keeps on going. Will their fortunes improve in 2016? Well, Toyboata always have high hopes before the season begins, and this year is no exception, whether or not such hopes actually turn into success though, one can only speculate.

Pangolin Honda

Image

Team Owner: GuitarHero
Drivers: Valtteri Bottas & Jolyon Palmer

The first of two brand new teams to arrive on the grid this year, the purple Pangolin is a striking design which in testing has performed well in the hands of DFR refugee Valtteri Bottas. If all goes well in the races, we could well see a purple driver on the podium this season.

Midori Nismo

Image

Team Owner: ミドリ
Drivers: Daniil Kvyat & Fernando Alonso

When the second of our new teams first launched it's new car, the opposition were taken aback by what is most definitely, the finest livery on the grid. Testing thus far though, has proved inconclusive as to the ultimate pace of this stunning new challenger, but i'm sure both Kvyat and Alonso will be giving their all no matter what happens.

Maniacal Mercedes

Image

Team Owner: Pokemaniac 212
Drivers: Sergio Perez & Carlos Sainz Jr

The Manical team returns to Fantasy F1 after a prolonged absense with a tidy looking car and a pair of fast, capable drivers. While it may be a bit of an uphill battle for them in terms of overall race pace, they certainly have the capability to spring a few surprises.

SSA Juniors Mugen

Image

Owner: Spilskinanka
Drivers: Max Verstappen & Pascal Wehrlein

The SSA Juniors team arrived on the grid last year at the very last minute, they knew their first car was slow and so had zero expectations. All in all though, they did pretty well (despite being well off the pace) and even managed to pick up a couple of lucky points finishes. This season though, SSA Juniors are hoping to be much stronger, so much so that they hope to eventually emulate another well known junior team; Toro Rosso.

Right then folks, that's the 2016 Fantasy F1 field in full, the first race will take place in Australia on March 19th/20th, so good luck everyone, have have a great season :)

Hello everyone. Nice to meet you. We are MIDORI. We understand that some of you may be disappointed with our pace in initial testing. Nonetheless, we are very pleased with our results. There is still much work to be done regarding our power unit, but our friends at Renault, Nissan and NISMO have been hard at work getting it ready Australia. Furthermore, we have a great aero package, and both Alonso-san and Kvyat-san seem to be pleased with how things are progressing. We are also delighted with the positive reception our beautiful livery has received. We are confident in our ability to score a good number of points, and hopefully even a podium or two in the coming months. See you in Australia!

Round 1: Australian Grand Prix

Image

It begins, welcome to Albert Park and the first race of the 2016 Fantasy F1 season! Hopes are high among all our teams for both the race itself, and the year ahead. Sadly, the 2015 event sucked as only 15 cars lined up on the grid, and the race was as dull as an sonm 'meme'

Still, hopefully things will be a lot better this time around, quali will be posted some time late saturday/sunday morning, with the race being added once C4 have shown the extended highlights.

Good luck, and happy racing :)
