Kimi just seems bored these days, he even went for a walk in the desert during FP1.

Quite a good race anyhow, though it's a shame Wehrlein wasn't able to score a point as he drove really well.

All Ferrari front row... first time in 9 years that that's happened, last all Ferrari front row was the 2008 French Grand Prix.

Was there a single overtake on track that race? Don't think there was...

The main entertaining thing of the race was the Bwoah-man himself, with another great radio

Yeah it was far from the most exciting race but it's always good to see a new Grand Prix winner which is what we got.

It is now F1 regulations that driver names and numbers must be easily visible, both on the side and the front of the cars.

This has resulted in some sudden font changes for numbers on cars to help deal with this and Mercedes have even given Hamilton and Bottas different colours for their car numbers.

Not a bad idea actually, although I think the two different coloured numbers thing has been done before by Stewart in 1999.

I had thought though that actually having the numbers visible on the car has been regulation since 2014 but clearly this is something different now.

Some teams in the 90's also used to put flashes of colour on their cars to help folks determine which was which.

Ferrari used to add yellow squares on their front wings, and Benetton would add a red blob under the nosecone.

Classic cars to be featured quite a bit more in the new F1 game. Wonder if Liberty's ownership of F1 has loosened the terms of their contract with Codemasters to allow for this?

I'm just disappointed about the lack of a Nintendo Switch version, I know MK8 will be great on it but I just find myself wanting to see more realistic racers on the platform as well, I was expecting something from Codemasters as they were on the list of developers shown when the Switch was first announced but it seems likes it's not going to happen :(

Oh well, here's hoping they get the Brawn GP 01 in as a 'classic' car, probably not old enough to be a true classic yet but I'd live to race it in the current F1 games.

Yeah, F1 2009 on the Wii is the only game in which you can currently race that car, and F1 2009 didn't exactly get very good reviews when it came out...

The prescence of the F2002 in the game means that cars that have been in F1 games before are going to be able to be in these games, maybe they could include cars from the 2007 or 2008 seasons since those seasons never had official F1 games.

I throughly enjoyed my hours with F1 2009, was actually pretty decent considering the hardware at their disposal. Another car I'd like to see is the Renault from 05 or 06, just for the livery alone! Think they've said there will be 12 classic cars, so we still have 9 to find out, hopefully it's a weekly thing they announce or something.

I wouldn't have actually been against his return either, sure he crashed more than other people but he did have the speed, especially over one lap. It'd be hard to imagine he'd be doing worse than say Ericsson and Palmer really, neither of those have really shown much so far in their careers in F1 in my opinion, but they obviously bring decent funds.

Does make me wonder which team it'd have been, more than likely Manor if they made it onto the grid but who knows. Doubt it was Mercedes though

hugely Impressive for Alonso to qualify 4th on his debut Indy 500 and further evidence that his Talents are being wasted in the Mclaren Honda

The results of the F1 fan survey have been published, it's a pretty good read.

Assuming there's no rain or major safety car incidents, i see it being almost impossible for hamilton to make progress from there.

Bwoah it was a good lap...

Ecstatic to see Kimi on pole, awsome lap from all the top 3 really, barely anything between them! Hamilton may get a few points unless something drastic happens in front of him allowing him to make up places. Gutted for Button though :( had a good qualifying session only to be penalised for power unit problems on Alonso's side of the garage.

Hard to believe that the last time Ferrari won the Monaco Grand Prix was back in 2001.

They are really overdue a win in this race.
