Speaking of teams that can't hack it in Europe...

If I was an arsenal supporter, I would not want Wenger around any longer.

Still think beating Hull in the Cup final was a massive asspull to save himself. Should have lost that and left immediately. Reckon those cups stopped the board making any decisions. Not that they appear to make many decisions anyway.

if we had lost to Hull, he would of gone. I have no doubt about that, he would of walked away at that point. now that PSG are out of the CL though, I think the job will become open there, and that's where I expect wenger to be next season.

Speaking of PSG, what an incredible comeback from Barcelona, from 4-0 down on aggregate to progress 6-5.

Champion's League has been great this season.

You say that, but you made 70s Leeds look like pacifists. Both sides did tbh.

Not had much to cheer about in previous seasons except the good FA Cup run a couple of years back, very happy today though.

Sheffield United are back in the championship after 6 yeas in league one. :D

It won't last.

Meanwhile, we won probably our most important game of the run in. Gave outrselves a playoff cushion and pushed those scummy Lancashire twats out of range. We're now ready to take a few beatings from the likes of Newcastle and Norwich and hopefully still be able to cling to the playoffs.

I think we'll be doing well if we can stay up, we need to stay up and build a good squad over the next couple of seasons to make us a championship regular, maybe even a contender for the title although I doubt that will be anytime soon.

So... How many of the Arsenal fans here are looking forward to the Europa League next season, out of interest? Should be a nice change of pace for you. And you can't get knocked out of it by Bayern.

With 3 places up for grabs and the FA Cups semi finals what they are, they're pretty much guaranteed it unless West Brom can make up the 10 point gap somehow.

I'm happy enough with the Europa league. its still European football and a good competition. also a good way to give players a kick up the jacksee.

So, who's taking bets on Barcelona winning by just enough goals to get through in the second leg again?

we won at home.. and Chelsea had zero shots on target, so we could have won 2-0 even we had Bravo in net instead of DDG :P

I was wrong, Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham are more persistent than they should be. We're gooseberry fool. We won't keep our loanees and signing Jansson just means we'll get money from him and Wood when everyone wants them. This is our only chance to get into the Premier League. We're struggling to make the playoffs, never mind win them.

Going to be weird seeing Brighton in the Premier League next season. Used to them being a Championship/League One side so seeing them as a Premier League team will take some getting used to. Having said that I think when they were under Poyet I though they were on a path that would take them into the Premier League, it just took a lot longer than I thought.

and to think, Hyypia almost destroyed all the hard work Poyet and Garcia did by almost relegating us.

Anthony Joshua won more times at Wembley in 2017 than Tottenham.
