Re: General Football Discussion
It will be strange and sad next season not having Philipp Lahm

Re: General Football Discussion
And we have our first Europa League title, and a Champions' League spot for next year.
A few additions here and there, and I daresay next season could be good.

Better team won today, congrats Arsenal.
Sucks not doing the double, but ah well, we have the league at least.

Re: General Football Discussion
Any thoughts on City signing Bernardo Silva?
I'm not sure he'll be able to replicate his Monaco form, as a winger who's more creative rather than quick and attacking, which makes him a bit less suited to the PL. That being said, he's still a great replacement for Navas and I'm sure he will succeed in Pep's system.

Conte is a genius.

Re: General Football Discussion
Had a feeling something like this was going to happen. I think they wanted to keep him on all along but didn't want to say anything until people stopped criticising him and something positive happened.

Re: General Football Discussion
After last night, I think this Real Madrid team has to be considered one of the best teams ever built.
Three Champions Leagues in four seasons says it all really. So strong and they want to strengthen it further.
Shame there are a few too many cheats in the team.

Re: General Football Discussion
Leeds have a new manager, Thomas Christiansen. Having actually looked him up, doesn't seem like a bad appointment. We've done a lot worse in the past. Just hope he can get to grips with the league quickly.

Re: General Football Discussion
And literally every one of our fans ask to announce Mbappé. I'm getting tired of seeing that everywhere, so I hope he says that he will stay at Monaco or just go to Arsenal.
I don't think it will happen, though. Not this season.

Re: General Football Discussion
£75 million is apparently peanuts now if a bidding war between two clubs can come to that amount...
...not to mention Chelsea are buying back a player for a ton more than they both sold him for and bought him for originally. If Chelsea win the bidding war then they'll have spent over £85 million over two separate purchases and only recouped £28 million for him.

Re: General Football Discussion
Looks like it's going to be the swap then, United have won the race for Lukaku's signature.
Lukaku's a very good striker but £75 million seems a bit too much for him even then, that kind of price should only really be for players in the very top bracket of world football, maybe not necessarily Ronaldo/Messi level but players like Gareth Bale, Luis Suarez, Neymar etc would probably go for at least that if not more.
I'd say Lukaku is more worth £65 million, give or take £5 million either way.
